★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have three computers in a small network and have always been able to fix it myself. Problems over my head. Called Northern Computer. In a couple hours one of their techs completely fixed my problem and cleaned a bunch of other stuff on the network. They are my go to for support now!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would take my computer to a homeless man in an alley before trusting it to northern computer again. At least I would if I still had a computer, which I don't after taking it to these guys. I initially expressed displeasure with the company after getting my laptop back severely damaged, it seems quite clear they pried the casing apart with pliers as I can see the tooth marks right next to the missing pieces, and that the screen was put back in incorrectly and is partially sticking out from the bezel. What I didn't realize until later was that one of the three usb ports was damaged and won't function, and the headphone jack was damaged, goodbye music.
Not being charged by way of apology doesn't cut it. I'm left with a barely usable laptop that this company should be replacing, but they won't.
I strongly advise against trusting them with anything you care about.

I tried to get my Lenovo computer fixed through the Lenovo tech-support on my warranty and I had an extremely frustrating experience where I was told I had to ship my computer to Ontario. I called Northern computers to see if I could find a work around and they said hey could probably fix it. When I brought it into them they tried their best to see if they could fix it themselves and then they found out that they likely couldn’t and that it was supposed to be shipped Ontario after all. However a few staff came over and they kept trying to help me. They found a workaround and tried to see if they could order parts especially for me and made sure I can get it covered under warranty even though that’s not the normal way of doing it with this particular Lenovo laptop. Suffice it to say that they went above and beyond to make my awful day way better and I am exceedingly impressed with their customer service. Thank you so much!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I strongly suggest not taking a computer here for repair.
The repair, which was replacing the LCD cable, took 2.5 weeks longer than promised and my laptop was returned irreparably damaged:
-The plastic body of the computer and the bottom of the screen were cracked (unfix-able without total replacement)
-The plastic hinge covers were broken off in such a way that they could no longer snap back on (hinges and cable now permanently exposed)
-The aluminum lid was damaged and marked with toothed pliers.
Northern computer did apologize and also refunded my money for the repair because of the damage. They did effectively replace the cable so that the screen works again. They explained that the long wait was because they ordered the parts from Ebay. Luckily I can see the new cable very clearly through the crack in the case, also, if the cable starts getting pinched in the hinge again, I'll be able to see that pretty clearly, too.
Take your repairs elsewhere if you value your electronics.
