★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There seems to be a massive disconnect among staff and administration regarding difficulty; for reference: Physics 30 vs Math 30-1
Physics 30 is an OBJECTIVELY easier course due to having plenty of real world examples, yet we're given a full formula sheet with ALL the constants and equations you need, we are also allowed to reference our text-book and notes during exams. Math 30-1 is an OBJECTIVELY harder course, dealing with numbers in the abstract with real-world examples treated as an after-thought; we're given a formula sheet that contains most equations for the course, but not only does it not contain every equation you'll need, you're also REQUIRED to memorize a bunch of other arbitrary rules that come up, and you're not allowed to reference notes during tests.
I know Math is generally considered a more "Important" course (Which in and of itself is stupid), but that's hardly an excuse for such a disgusting disconnect in difficulty, especially since in the real world, math skills are becoming increasingly irrelevant (despite what the teachers would have you believe)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ degrees and diploma are just a way for this institution to make money. used to be a good institution where people could go, study and get a decent living. now its a place to go get a degree like BTECH which aint even recognized by work places "unless you are working in that position by knowing someone inside" and then " the inside help moves you on". your better of going to grant or ufa and doing anything from what they offer

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nait is a real rip off. They'll take your application fee with no warning from their website as to if they're full or that you might go on a wait list. I applied 2 times. 1st time I was put on wait list and rejected. 2nd time they told me "apply right away! A few seats left!" Well I did...week later I was on a wait list again which led to another rejection! At $115 per application fee that means I'm $230 out. Hey enjoy your $ nait! Don't be fooled by their virtue signaling website....they care for no one except the almighty dollar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Disappointed in customer service. Student services (must be volunteers) can never answer my questions. Have dealt with NAIT for a year and a half, and still never a helpful response. Why can I never speak with someone qualified? Grrr

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Student extortion , prices on everything are ridiculousl. I don't understand how they can get away with this. The parking the food , lockers. If you need a plastic utensil to eat they will charge you for this.
The education is sub par , being a rushed setting. The institution cares far more about quantity of quality. This is my first year at nait as a second year HET and will be my last year. Small community colleges such as portage and college of the rockies. Can offer much better learning experiences for the trades.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ernests is run by the Culinary students at NAIT. Staff/students are friendly, the food is well presented and very reasonably priced.
Keep in mind when dining to be patient with staff/students as it is a learning environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Recently enrolled in a Business diploma and have decided to drop out because that isn't the program for me but also because Nait is actually such a waste of time. Wasn't surprised to see other negative reviews. There's never any staff in the building which means 0 support for students. Office hours make no sense. "Student Services" staff are rude and unhelpful. Why are all their staff still working from home??? I had such a negative experience just trying to drop out, it's like they just want to take all your money (especially for extra payments you can't opt-out of)
Website instructions for how to submit a program withdrawal form made no sense and the "student services" lady told me I did it wrong even though I printed it off as the website said. I was super confused about where exactly to drop it off so I went there to ask and was just shooed away with no help at all. She told me I had to email it and never said to who or where. And apparently the business department needs 5-7 business days to respond to emails. What a joke and a waste of time. Wish I never even bothered, would have saved a lot of money, time and stress.
