About North Side Medical Clinic

When visiting a health professional or organization you expect to receive the safest health care available. Sometimes things don’t work out as expected. For example, a patient may receive the wrong dose of medicine. In the health care field, we call this an adverse event. Most adverse events are minor and don’t result in harm. But when an adverse event does occur and the patient is harmed, he or she has a right to know what happened and what will be done to try to prevent it from happening again.

If something goes wrong during your care, a member of the health care team will talk to you and your family about what happened. You can also discuss any changes to your care that may be needed at that time. In this situation, you have the right:

  • To have a support person (s) of your choice present at the meeting.
  • To ask for a second opinion from another health care provider.
  • To pursue a complaints process.
  • To identify specific people (family or caregivers) that you’d like to receive any information.
  • To make the process easier, we’ll ask you to identify someone (a family member, friend or patient advocate) to support you.

When something does go wrong, steps are taken to try to prevent it from happening again. The health care team will investigate what went wrong. You will be informed of the results and changes that will be made to try to prevent the same thing from happening to someone else.

If the investigation takes a long time, you will be kept up to date with its progress. If you wish, a meeting will be arranged for you to discuss what actions have been taken to try to prevent a similar incident from happening again.

Every patient has the right to be treated with care, consideration and respect.

A doctor not capable to hear your concerns it’s very frustrating and no, I am not coming back here anymore. This is my 3rd time with the same doctor and she is extremely rude, I wish there was more doctors or clinics where they can actually listen to you and do their job more professionally.

Literally top 10 worst experiences in my life. Nobody in this clinic has an inkling of knowledge to share. Absolutely pathetic reception that took over 4 weeks to send my files over to my new doctor. Don't waste your time.

Been here many times along with family members, Dr. Savoy brushes past obvious signs of sickness and due to lack of care my little brother ended up with pneumonia twice when it could have been easily avoided with a simple prescription. Had a minor surgery and Dr. Savoy had no empathy or bedside manners.

Called to book an appointment over the phone for prescription renewal. Apparently they don’t do that any more, and my doctor is out of town. Had no idea about either of those things. The receptionist’s attitude over the phone was terrible. Like my phone call was the worst part of their day (called right at opening). Very unwelcoming and awful tone.

It's a sad day when you have to see a doctor on call that isn't your regular doctor and the experience is the worst. Dr. Lim is horrendous, he told me my throat was real bad and could see the pain I was in but didn't care. Told me to push through the pain and keep my fluids up. Took a swab of my throat and told me I can call in 5 days to find out results, no antibiotics, just go home and push through the pain. JACK@*#!!!!! Don't expect help unless you can add to the covid numbers I will be calling my doc for help

A lady doctor β€œDr. Arrogant” was rude and blamed us for their own mistakes. Her name is Savoy, not the first time you were arrogant to your patients, respect your patients! You’re getting paid and we’re not getting the service instead. There was a conflict or misinformation from their offices and she said she was caught in the middle. Well, its not my job to figure it out and solve the problem. She added β€œ I don’t know why you are here?” β€œWhat’s the problem?” Don’t blame us. And she said they were busy and they forgot to gave us a printed (result or whatever), said its out fault for not asking it at the reception. I wish there’s a video or voice recorder inside that room. And I suggest to those people who will get there to record your conversation with her. She disrespect non-Canadian patients.

This clinic is more of quantity than quality. Appointments are useless. How can appointment set at 9am will be made to wait 2 hours or more? Is that the meaning of appointment? Time is valuable! How many minutes are usually spent for every patient ? Assuming on the average 30 minutes, so logically , you will put Mr x at 830am , 9am for Mr y , 930 for Mr z ... and so on ! But why in hell do I need to wait for 2 hours? Appointment is time specific ! So when you Set an appointment at 10am , definitely by that time ! At 10am you must see that patient! You can not attend and check patients just for 5 minute or 10 minutes . What intervals are use in scheduling a patient? Every 20 minutes ? 15 minutes ? Is this a money making venture that sacrifices quality with quantity?

I actually hate this place. While it’s my usual clinic and Usually the doctors are alright this is my least favourite medical clinic, ever. Anywhere. Probably worth driving to another town if you need a walk in clinic because you’re likely to wait at least an hour maybe 3. Have been here multiple times and I can’t ever remember not being disappointed. Swift current really needs another walk in clinic. Would give it zero stars if I could because the 2.1 average rating is far too generous.
