Arrived at the start of the trail and chose the counter clockwise (go right) route for our hike. You definitely need good hiking boots on this trail as it is very rocky and steep in some parts. We were there shortly after a rainfall and the rocks were slippery. Having just come from BC and also living close to Gatineau Park I found this trail moderately difficult and not terribly interesting. The lookouts were very nice so perhaps a quick trip to the left to the lookout and back down the same way would have been a better use of time.

5km hike, I got turned around because I wasn’t paying attention and distracted by the multiple lookouts that I went off trail even when using my all trails map ? so ended up doing a bit more than 6km. The first and last km are the hardest, rocky and steep. Not to mention it was pouring rain when I went so it was slick and muddy as well. I would 1000% recommended this trail, totally worth the hard part for those lookouts!!

A great hike around 5km loop with breathtaking views of the Old woman's Bay of Lake Superior and its surrounding. Lots of climbing during the first half of the hike. With stops at lookout points takes about 3 hours to complete at a leisurely pace. Beatiful flora and fauna. No wildlife encountered. No bugs as the temperature dropped and was quite chilly for a day in August. Thoroughly enjoyed the hike.

Lovely trail... About 2 hours, moderately hard but nothing crazy. Lovely views of Old Woman Bay. Don't have photos of the trail, but do of the bay.

In my opinion the most beautiful trail in whole park. It seems easy, but after about half of the trail it’s a climb and slippery if it just rained.

Excellent 5km trail that takes you to top of the hill with breathtaking view of Lake Superior and the surrounding forest. Various viewpoints located at 5 different intervals are great sight. It takes 2 to 4 hours to complete the loop. The trail is very challenging, quite steep and rocky.

Beautiful hole in the wall trail along the golden coast. Might not be suitable for young children depending on the weather conditions. Some parts can be muddy/rocky but for the most part it is a casual hike. Also a bonus that the old woman’s bay was right across the street. Nice to unwind after the hike there

Has some of the best views in Lake Superior Park. Takes 2 - 3 hours but not too bad in terms of difficulty. Take a look at the map at the start of the trail, if you want to get the looks outs faster take the shorter side of the trail but I believe this side has a steep ascent.
