what to bring
The weather conditions in Saskatchewan can greatly impact a waterfowl hunt. You will need to pack warm clothes and many layers for weather ranging from the upper 20's F to the mid 60's F. Be ready for both hot and cold weather. Rain gear, waterproof hunting boots or knee boots, face masks or face paint, gloves, headwear, headlamp or flashlight, locking gun case for the plane ride, soft gun case for trip to the field, shotgun shells, blind bag or small pack, a camera and your shotgun. If you don't want to bring your firearms into Canada we do offer shotgun rentals for $50/day. A shotgun rental agreement will be filled out prior to use.

Despite his business losses for this fall, John graciously agreed to honor our deposit for the 2021 season.

My hunt ( purchased thru SCI as a donated hunt ) was canceled in 2020 due to the covid pandemic. John rescheduled and guaranteed my hunt for 2021! Thank you John !

JP is an outstanding guide, amazing on the calls, has a wicked set up and consistently put us on birds. There was never a dull moment with JP, one of the funniest people I know! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our group was so excited to go to NFZ this year, but Canada hasn’t opened the border. John was great to roll our dates to 2021! This bucket list is going to get punched next year!! I hear he has great deer and bear hunting too!
UPDATE - The border opened in July or August of 2021 with the requirement that everyone had to be vaccinated. Our group wasn’t interested in that. John would not refund our $$ and he would only allow us to rollover to 2022 if we paid the other 50% of our deposit. I think it’s very unfortunate the Canadian Gov. closed the border and created this hardship, but he would not return our $5800 deposit….
