Dropped by for lunch and we're so happy we did! We ordered fire roll, shiso roll, cauliflower pakora and beet salad. Eveything was very delicious, flavorful and fresh tasting! I really enjoyed the shiso roll; the flavors were so herbaceous and light. The cauliflower pakora was also amazing; really tangy and zesty. The cream sauce balanced it out and the fried chickpeas were SO yummy. Also, the beet salad was absolutely wonderful. So tart and sweet and savory. Perfect texture as well! 10/10 definitely coming back! Service was great too!

Some of the best vegan food in Vancouver! Really tasty and innovative menu. Really cool vibe and attentive service. Micheal was my server and he was so friendly and awesome. He knew a lot about the menu and went out of his way to make sure I had the best experience possible. I had the sushi and it was so flavourful. You can tell the chefs are very experienced. I had the parsnip cremeaux for dessert (pictured) and it was seriously delicious. Can't wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Good ambiance and service. Food was good but several dishes didn’t meet our expectations and the price charged. They are a new restaurant and the concept of the food is unique. It is clear they are experimenting with new recipes. With some tweaks I think this could be a great spot. We had a nut allergy at the table so some of the dishes were adjusted to avoid cashew based sauces - but they were great in accommodating. They had a great cocktail menu that is worth checking out as well.

i am really excited about this place and it has a lot of potential! the ambiance and service are perfect. and they employ lots of unusual and innovative ingredients/flavors. i think they are still learning and will surely make tweaks and improvements. i thought the food was priced a little high, but the drinks were reasonable. i hope they can implement a happy hour soon. i will definitely be recommending this place to friends. i am thrilled to have another vegetarian option in the city.

Excellent experience overall - the food is toe-curlingly good and the customer service top notch. The ambiance was both modern and invitingly cozy and the music was upbeat and just the right volume to be able to have a conversation easily while enjoying the music. I will definitely come back - more than a few times.

Wow that’s a gem in yaletown. After going to a different vegan restaurant for months (vegan good fast food) we were super happy that we randomly found nightshade. The afternoon host/server was great and super kind. The prices are absolutely fair, I would even say almost cheap, for that value. Positive surprised. We ended up ordering 6 drinks, 3 appetizer, 2 mains and 1 dessert. We told so many friends already to go there because we loved it.

This is definitely a little finer than your average vegan spot, however, once you go inside, you’ll realize it’s relatively casual like the rest of Vancouver! I had a great experience here. I was impressed by how many different cuisines they served (we had Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese and Italian influenced dishes), and how all were done well. I’d say the three things you must try is their sushi rolls, the nightshade once was really good. Taro roll is essentially a spring roll. It come out nice and hot, and I thought eating it with lettuce and mint leaves was a great touch, so it didn’t feel too oily and had a great crunch. The truffle gnocchi was also good. The mushroom gravy was thick and flavourful, chunks of mushroom gave it meatiness and it’s a good size. I will say I wished there was more of a truffle flavour, but it was still good. The other dishes we ordered were good as well, just not a highlight I’d say. The food looked good as you can tell and the service was great as well. I felt it was more of a family place than date night, but it also depends on what time of day you come. I will say this is one of the better vegan restaurants in Vancouver and I’d recommend trying this place out to everyone! It’s a good way to see what vegan food can actually be like! I will say it’s not one of the cheaper vegan eats though, it cost us around $50 per person, but I think it was worth it.
