Very disorganized, unprofessional, and rude. Too long of a wait time for appraisals. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed with this company, appraiser was rude, unprofessional and I'm not sure where he was. Missed that I had, spa tub, sky lights, security system, swimming pool to mention a few, will never use them again.

I have been using them exclusively for over 1 year. Michelle is amazing. She answers all my call, text immediately. She books an appointment right away once I send out my request. She is amazing!!!!

Very disorganized and used completely unrelated comps when appraising houses. I would not use this company. Niemi LaPorte took over 10 days to appraise a residential house then compared it to houses half the size of ours. When I sent him several recent closed sales figures for houses same size & age as ours he refused to even look at them. He cost us significant time and money as was obviously unqualified to appraise homes in the Maple Ridge area.

I used Niemi LaPorte & Dowle Appraisals for my condo for refinancing. I am very disappointed with this company; the appraiser, Lisa Dingwall was unprofessional and lack of knowledge to appraise the property with its fair market value. My condo is being under-stated for at least 10% of its fair market value. My condo is located at 1221 Bidwell Street (Alexandra building) just step away to English Bay with partial ocean view from balcony; however, the appraiser used the comparable such as 777 Richards Street, 68 Smithe Street (downtown area) to estimate my value with a just little value adjustment for location. The Alexandra building is rare and unique and can’t use any other downtown building as comparison. The appraiser is lack of knowledge to appraise the fair market value when the property doesn’t have any recent sold properties in the same area. There is one active listing with no parking stall from the same building which listed for $1,350 per square feet. I use this $1,350/sqft to approach my unit size 489 that is almost close to my appraisal value. However, my unit with one parking stall but didn’t count into the appraisal value. Talked to Lisa but she said parking doesn’t cost much. I am shock with this unprofessional and lack of knowledge. Based on my understanding for any new pre-sale condo, the parking stall usually cost more than 75,000. That is why my appraisal value is 10% understated. If you read my review, please be careful to choose the appraisal company for your real estate purchase. It might cause you the big panic and default to your purchase if you choose the wrong company. For example, if you only have just enough down payment for your purchase, the bank will request you to increase your down payment with the under-stated appraisal report. If you don’t have enough down payment, might cause you to default the deal.
