★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This company refuses to take any responsibility for improper installation of flashing around our home windows which has led to water and mold damage. The flashing was not installed as outlined by the building permit. This lack of integrity suggests to me that this company is a poor choice for a building or renovation project.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are a lawyer and you want to practice your craft, then by all means hire Darren Nystrom of Newcastle Homes and Renovations. If you are not a lawyer, then perhaps you would be better hiring a group of children who are good with building Lego sets. Do not expect Darren's quote to be accurate, Darren went over by $10,000. His sub-contractor incorrectly installed a tub drain causing damage to apartment below. Darren wanted project management fees and the cost of a plumber to fix what I had already paid project management fees and plumber expenses to do in the first place. There are better qualified and more ethical renovators in Calgary – use one of them!
