New West Music

I've been taking lessons at New West Music for over a year now. Initially piano lessons with Christian and now guitar lessons with TJ, and I think I can without a doubt say that taking lessons here was the best thing I could have done to further my understanding of music. The teachers are very talented, patient, and they care about their students. The studio is always clean and organized, and its just an aesthetically pleasing environment, I love the decoration. If you have any doubts about signing up for lessons here, just do it and cancel if it doesn't work for you, but I'm certain you'll stick around.

Our 4 year old daughter started piano lessons with Chris at the New West Music School about 10 months ago. Chris is a kind, caring and very patient teacher. He has discovered her strengths and is helping her build on them. He recognized her strength in rhythm and thanks to the diversity of this music school, she is learning drums as well! Watching my daughter learn and love her experience with music got me interested in taking lessons myself. I recommend this music school to adults and children. As a bonus, the parent waiting area is super cozy and thoughtfully designed for adults and children, with coffee, books and open ended toys for kids. Very professional and warm environment!

I decided to take guitar lessons at New West Music because YouTube lessons were not for me, and I'm glad I did. This is a great school. Great teachers, very professional, and lesson plans geared towards what you specifically want to learn. I was a bit nervous coming in as an adult student but Christian and Andrew really put me at ease. Great school, highly recommended.

I decided to register my son in piano lessons here. Our experience turned out to be better than I had imagined. My son has autism and the instructors were very patient, understanding, and accommodating to him and his differing needs. The atmosphere was also very calming. I would highly recommend New West Music to anyone interested in music lessons!

Professional. Personalized. Passionate. At the age of nearly 46, I was inspired to return to playing the piano. Having last had lessons at age 8, I was self conscious and nervous about taking piano again and took the process of finding a school seriously. After going to 2 different music schools for a trial lesson, I knew I hadn't found the right place and was losing hope. I had one more place to check out and that was New West Music. Right from the initial contact with Christian on the phone, my gut was telling me this was the right place. Christian was friendly and professional during our conversation and since I had a particular piece in mind to learn, he assured me that he would send the song to my teacher so that the teacher was prepared for my first lesson. Neither of the other schools I went to offered to do that. I was so appreciative that my unique request was taken seriously. I was paired with Konstantin and he was certainly prepared with knowledge of my song. I booked 2 lessons with him and would decide after that if I was comfortable buying a ten lesson package. Konstantin's passion for music emanated from his face. He studied the music intently and watched my playing very carefully. He was able to see and sense exactly the skills that I needed to work on and gave me several exercises to practice at home. I felt like I really got my money's worth with such an attentive, focused and professionally trained teacher (along with getting enough homework to keep me busy for the week.) After that second lesson, I had no hesitation in buying the ten lesson package. One of the rare occasions I was thrilled to bring out my Visa card! The result of receiving instruction at New West Music has been that my mind has been opened and my confidence boosted. At first I just wanted to learn one particular song, but now that I know I can trust my teacher to be supportive of my skill level and can feel his passion for music, I have enough courage to face my biggest fear; learning to read music (and having to start at the very beginning!) I'm super excited about my next lesson and am keen to do my homework! I highly recommend that you at least book an exploratory lesson at New West Music and I trust that you'll be glad you did! I love my piano lessons at New West Music! Sierra is an excellent teacher and very patient. I believe her attention to detail has really helped me to improve. In fact I've made more progress in a year than I thought I would as I'm an adult learner. The studio is really pleasant with a great atmosphere and Christian is obviously doing a great job of running it!
