★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A few years ago the team at New Trend set me up with replacement office progressives - replacing a pair that I had gotten from an inexpensive optical outfit. They explained the difference in the higher quality lenses that they use, and when I got them the difference was absolutely amazing! They were a bit more expensive, but the higher quality lenses made such a difference in my everyday eyesight. They have once updated my prescription using my same frames, and at least twice have fixed my frames with no charge! Quality and service are great here!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was one of the best Optician experiences I've had. The entire staff is helpful. Jim is so attentive, and he knows his stuff. He made an assessment based off of the way I work and live, and recommended different types of prescriptions based on it.
The prices are great, and they offer free sight testing. I will definitely come back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life, never have I had such an enjoyable eye glasses shopping experience. Great experience at New Trend Optical, the owner and knowledgeable staff; Jim and Ryan were experts in the field of eye wear and very pleasant to deal with.
My story: There was a knick in the paint of my newly ordered and made glasses, literally like a dot like this . Mentioned to the staff, and without asking the owner said, “we’ll order and make you new ones” honestly I was ok fixing with a blue marker but Jim said that’s not what you ordered.
Thank you Ryan for your being patient, and pleasant to deal with. Thank you Jim for making me feel like a valued ViP customer. Will definitely be back after benefits renew! Lol

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jim has customized a pair of higher-end clear acrylic frames I purchased at a different optical. All the frames I liked have always never fit my square and flat face. I have very little nose bridge.
I requested a near impossible job that required him to file off the existing free form bridge completely and drill in a set of nose pegs. Any error would cause the damage to show because the frames were clear. He was able to do it with minimal fracture visibility on one side and none on the other. Not visible from outside.
This was 4 years ago and they are still holding up the test of time.
Today I came in for a broken sunglasses frame that had an irregular screw hole. He was able to find the right screw and repair it on the spot for free. Thank you for that!
I highly recommend this little eye glass laboratory and optical in Poco. Note: this a small business and not a “McOptical” so it would not be reasonable to expect larger jobs to be completed fast. Will take at least a couple weeks depending on the job and availability of parts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got my new glasses (at a different place) a few months ago and could not wear them without feeling dizzy and getting an instant headache. I took the glasses to a few different opticians, but no one could find the problem; some places didn't even want to look at them since I wasn't their client. I was feeling hopeless and angry as I was about to throw my $400 glasses into the garbage.
Luckily, a friendly, skilled and knowledgeable New Trend Optical team was able to help me in 15 min! They checked my glasses thoroughly, made some adjustments and the problem was solved!
Such a great experience! I was not their client before, but definitely will be in the future.
