★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I only started ordering from New Flower Drum over the past year or so and wish I had tried them sooner. I mistakenly thought they were more of a bar than a restaurant at first but should have looked harder.
The owners are so incredibly nice and remember me when I call and are happy to see me when I pick up. The food is always incredibly hot and fresh. The portions are really good and 3 items can make at least 4-5 meals for me easily. They also have combo plate specials for 1 around $10 so you can try a few different things in smaller portions. I’m glad they’ve stuck around for so long and it really is the best Chinese food in the area in my option. I enjoy it more than Mai Mai and Ruyi garden. I usually keep it simple and go for fried rice and a stir fry. The broccoli dishes here are always so good with lots of it which is nice and are the perfect amount of crunchy still. I always feel appreciated no matter how small my order is and that’s saying something compared to some of the other restaurants on this street.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went with friends for a late evening quick pick up. We ordered sweet and sour spare ribs, Singapore rice noddle, beef broccoli stir fry and sesame beef szechuan style. The service was fast and efficient. Me and my friends we loved the Singapore rice noddle.. It is very close to authentic. Good portion too. Spare ribs did not feel like spare ribs at all. Beef broccoli was tasty. szechuan sesame beef had too much sauce which lost the flavour and did not feel like szechuan at all. In the end the food was enjoyable and I would come back again
