★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My cousin called Jeff and asked what the process was for Jeff to sell her Mom's furniture as her Mom had passed away. Already a difficult and trying time, Jeff advised that she come to his store with photos of which she did. He reviewed the photos and said he was interested and once the estate sale was finished to call him and he would come by have a look at what was left and offer her a fair price.
We called Jeff once the sale was over - what a rude and unconscionable man! He said he would have a difficult time selling white furniture, and didn't even know if he wanted it! Why didn't he tell us this when he saw the photos? It is already a painful time -- we provided in-home palliative care for my Aunt, she passed away a month ago.
He tried to intimidate us to giving him a rock-bottom price. He said he would go back to his store and talk with his wife and would call us back.
We never heard back from him. I know this is long, however, I think it is important that other families going through similar situations NOT use his services -- he will take advantage.
