Expect to be able to rent a kayak or SUP and nothing more. Heads up! There's currently no place to change clothing or an official place to store your belongings while you use the rentals. The staff seemed careless for the most part. We were not provided with any instruction at all on how to use the equipment and no emergency procedures were discussed. They give you a phone, but we would have had no idea who to call (other than 911) in an emergency. TL;dr - expect only to pay for the use of the equipment and nothing more, as you're on your own.

Kind staff, fully bilingual and well priced, they had enough boats even though we didn't book in advance. It so happened that we got stuck in the strong currents that were there that day, I tried calling the phone number that's on the website, there was no answer and no one called back even after leaving several messages (we were such for about an hour and a half). In the end Fred who IS ABSOLUTELY THE MAN came and got us to the shore, thank you Fred. All in all quite an adventure, thank you Navi for taking care of us.

Super bad experience due to misunderstanding of communication. Looks like there is only a certain area you can go to and accidentally we went the other way, they gave us a radio in case something happened so since we went the wrong way the radio kept beeping and when we answered it was very hard to understand the directions. Then we finally understood we had to go the other way and the wind was strong while we were trying to paddle so it was taking us some time to get to where they wanted us to go, and the radio kept beeping and beeping... imposible to paddle and pick up the call at the same time. In short, because of this misunderstanding this experience was awful. All we did while in the water was try to get back and answer their insisting calls, instead of giving us some time to get back they just kept beeping and beeping, super stressful.

Kayaks, paddles, and life jackets were in great shape (and the life jackets didn't stink like at some places!). The staff were also super friendly and helpful, and gave us good instructions on where to start our paddling (as it was our first time at this location). If you're coming in from Lasalle blvd, follow the path to the left of the Natatorium building until you see a little shack on the right (near the volleyball nets), where you'll pick up your paddles and life jacket. The dock is then just a little bit further down and to the right of the shack.

We went for the last slots. 6-8 pm. Sunset. Super light currents. Friendly staff. 40 bucks for 2 hours of kayaking was absolutely wonderful and worth it. For for 2 people at 80, soon at repeated visits you'd realize that that it's the safety features that your paying for mostly.
