Dishonest and unreliable. I work costumes/wardrobe. Took 3 industrial irons in for servicing. The owner, Jose, charged me close to $600. None of the irons performed any better than before they were serviced. One had a major leak. He charged $160 to fix it, a Reliable i300, but it still leaked after I turned it on. I returned it in March (pre covid). I called to see the progress in first week of August and he didn't recall the iron so said he would call me back. I called back 2 week's later and he said it couldn't be fixed even though I paid for and picked up what he said was working great. Now he is saying that the cost was the price of his service call and the iron cant be fixed. He didn't repair my other irons either, but charged $296 for my industrial boiler iron and $60 for my gravity feed iron. He is dishonest and unreliable and takes advantage because it is for our industry. You would think he wants the business. I would not use this company again, for any purchasing or servicing of equipment!

Working with National Sewing Supply Inc. is always a pleasurable experience. They helped me buy my first industrial sewing machine, which I love. They take the time to explain everything in great detail, so you leave feeling confident and secure. On top of all it feels great to support a local business and a trade that's hard to find experts in, especially in Toronto!

Horrible experience. Initially told me 1 week for my sewing machine repair which I believe was over promising and ambitious. But now it has been 6 weeks. Each time I call to find out about the status of my machine they so "oh I'm so sorry I don't know about your machine" or make a promise that it will be ready next week "for sure" but it never is. I just called now and even though it's a small shop the woman (I believe Joe's wife?) she continued to say, I don't know. You have to speak to Joe. She didn't offer to take a message or anything. Then she says, sorry I'm busy I have to go. I'm so fed up. Never take your sewing machine to this establishment.

Great place. The owners are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and nice. We purchased an industrial sewing machine which they had in stock and at a good price. They helped us disassemble it for transport and gave us a quick training session so we could reassemble with ease and know how to care and maintain the machine to ensure many years from it.

Joe knows his machines very well, being a second generation sewing hobbiest, I have experienced my share of technicians. Joe and his wife knew what I needed for my inherited Juki industrial machine, and had all the supplies on hand. I have confidently returned to his store to purchase serger and will be going back soon for something else.

Joe refurbished my daughter's hand-me-down sewing machine. He was courteous and professional and, when we went to pick up the device, he took the time to show my daughter the basics of operation and to answer her questions. A positive experience and a good price.

Joe & Maria are a treat. They've been in the sewing machine business for decades. Joe was able to assure me he could service my machines before I brought them in - I was concerned parts supply might be an issue. He readily pegged their age (a 1970s White and a 1920s Singer), and explained the role of additional parts that came with them. He had them serviced and ready to use on time (one week), for a very reasonable price. I was referred to this service by my 88 year-old Mother in Law who continues to quilt daily with her machine, also serviced here. Note: Joe was forced to close his retail location on Wilson Ave. during the COVID shut-down. His business definitely survives & deserves your business: call for directions to his location. It's worth the trip to Vaughan!
