Very good store to find many gems, at a very reasonable price. Sometimes you have to dig a bit, but its always worth it!

You will think it is close but just enter through the boxes. Only go if you like digging. You will find jewels at unbeatable price.

The final place to dig for gems. Serghei was always good and friendly and I never left there empty handed or out of pocket.

I have only only been twice and both times walked out with amazing things. Things I wouldnt find in any other store in Quebec. I didnt know it was appointment only I guess I got lucky!!

It's small enough to induce claustrophobia; there's little room for movement and lots for improvement; the records are spread, stacked and inconveniently organized in a space that was confined to begin with and one of their genres is labeled "Black" music. And it's hands down my absolute favorite place to buy vinyls on the island of Montreal. Those who say that it's closed just don't know how it works. Granted, I have to contort my body like a gymnast in order to go through some of the sections, but the discovery of gems that has led to was worth the discomfort and sweat. I have found so many treasures at dirt cheap prices in this place that I can't help but give it a 5-star rating based on that alone. But, then, you have its owners. Sergei literally travels the world to find vinyl records, is fair and always open and willing to negotiate and broker a reasonable deal whether it's regarding selling his items or buying yours. And his partner Lise is just a pleasure. I still remember the first record that I purchased from Capricorne: an original press of the album Don't Be Cruel by Bobby Brown in near-mint condition at seven dollars without even having to negotiate. They even let me bring the love of my life into the store that fateful day when I just so happened to pass in-front of it, saw that it was open and wanted to finally peruse their immense selection. The love of my life is my Shih Tzu Blanket. I will take a record store in a tiny room with a vast but unconventionally structured assortment of vinyls at low prices over these big, neat, OCD-type-organized and overpriced places, like in the Plateau Mont-Royal, any day. It's the epitome and literal form of the proverb "good things come in small packages." In a nutshell, Capricone is the size of one and kind of like when you used to go over to your friend's house as a kid and browsed their music collection while sitting on the floor of their messy room. Except with better taste and you can take the stuff you want home with you.

Great place to find good deals, however if you DO NOT know how it's works, you will find the door closed. They work with appointment ONLY. The most of DJ from Montreal and elsewhere (even from US) find JEWELS each time we been there. Unbeatable prices ! BUT if you prefer aseptic places, with lights everywhere, all in alphabetic order, stores that paid HIGH taxes in downtown (then expensive vinyls), etc. and your feeling is just to give deep bad feedback, evidently, this place is forbiden for ya. By the way, is simple impossible to see everything in one single week and that is the best ! The collectors love this kind of Alibaba caves. Enjoy it !!
