★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The quality of the food was amazing! It was just delicious and the spices well balanced. It brought us back to Africa! The little “Beignets”(doughnuts) reminded us our morning breakfast by the Mama in our street. Thank you very much for the special treat, much welcomed for my birthday!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First. The service was excellent! I was greeted so very warmly when I came in to pick up my food. That is the main reason I made the effort to even rate this restaurant.
Second. My ordered was the okro stew and pounded yam. Delicious! Extremely flavourful and well spiced. Portions were extremely generous and filling. Price was so good for the portion.
Third. I will definitely return to try something else and WILL highly recommend anyone wanting to explore this cuisine.
You will not be disappointed.

The efo riro was fantastic and she made it vegetarian for me. They deserve all the success in the world, we should all support amazing people and businesses like this!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Mummy's Afro-Caribbean Kitchen is amazing! We had the jollof rice with jerk chicken. The jollof was flavourful and the jerk chicken was juicy and not dry. We also had the ogbono soup with pounded yam, which was great as well. Mummy was very kind and sweet to us and made us feel at home!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is so very delicious. Mummy is such a kind women. We were visiting and she accomodates us on Christmas day. Jollof rice was cooked to perfection. Pounded yam (couldnt finish my whole portion as shown in picture) and egusi soup was even better. She made our day ;) . Highly recommend!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walked in to order jerk chicken. The woman said she didn't think it was ready yet. After checking in the back she confirmed there was some and asked which rice I would like. Placed my order and she comes back out 10 minutes later with my food. As soon as I open my food it's steaming like it just came out of the microwave and my jerk chicken leg is hard and dry as a bone. I think I got yesterday's old jerk microwaved with rice and peas. 16 bucks for old reheated food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is it actually amazing! I've eaten at a lot of Caribbean or Afro-American restaurants before and by far this is one of the best! Portion sizes are amazing as well as the actual price you pay for your food and the overall freshness how fresh your food tastes and how everything is cooked to order really pushes the point forward. I've tried their jerk chicken and a lot of their other stuff and the jerk chicken they made was actually really unique! It's not like your usual jerk chicken but it was way better! The lady that works there was super nice and they play African TV shows or music videos while you eat and I personally enjoy it!
But they're really doing an injustice to themselves, you guys really need a bigger sign over by the main road so more people can see this amazing restaurant while passing by! The sign you have is very small and it's hard to see if you're driving.
I recommend this place to all of my friends and everyone in the area if you're looking for something cheap and filling while providing you in an authentic experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first time going to Mummy's. I really enjoyed the oxtails and jollof rice. I also added the jerk chicken. Great customer service and clean restaurant. Maybe next time I will get to taste the meat pie. Everything was delicious. Thank you for the great experience!
