Kevin has enjoyed over 42 years of experience in the electrical field, 26 years in the engineering discipline, and has developed many technical skills. Following formal training from SAIT, Kevin graduated with a Journeyman certificate in Electrical and acquired experience in medium/high voltage residential, commercial and industrial applications.

His field and hands-on experience has proven invaluable, assisting him in further developing estimating skills to procure projects in Calgary and surrounding areas, and monitoring all associated costs relative to construction through the course of the construction period.

Kevin began his apprenticeship in Calgary in 1977. Upon receiving his Journeyman’s certification Kevin worked in Calgary on a number of Commercial and Residential sites as a site electrician. He soon became acting Forman on a number of medium to large Commercial projects which included TD Square renovations, Royal Bank Tower Upgrade, new Olds Hospital and the Old’s College student Residence, which involved project equipment procurement, project supervision, and the managing of up to 30 on site electricians at any given time.

Furthering his career Kevin formed EnerWest Electrical in 1990, where acting as principal he estimated projects, procured equipment and managed the projects through the construction and completion process.

In 1993 Kevin joined another electrical firm as their chief estimator and project coordinator. Moving forward, Kevin joined the Reid Crowther team in 1995 as Contract Administrator, managing construction projects, ensuring projects were completed in a timely fashion and within established budgets. In 1998 Kevin became an Associate and advanced to a Senior Designer and Project Supervisor role.

Maskell Engineering acquired Kevin’s talents as a Senior Designer/ Project Administrator. His role as liaison with owners and architects was paramount in taking projects from the conceptual design stage through to contract award and construction completion. Further advancement places Kevin as a partner, in what evolved into Beaubien Glover Maskell Engineering in Calgary and now MP&P Engineering. As a partner, Kevin continues to develop solid electrical designs, coupled with project management and leadership skills for health care, commercial, and manufacturing facilities, government projects, educational and correctional institutes.
