Mountain View Resort and Suites

We booked a stay here for 2 nights (Friday May 13th and Saturday May 14th) directly through their website. Nowhere on thier site stated that the pool and hot tub were going to be closed. It states on Thier website that it is open from May-September, our 2 young kids look forward to family vacations and unwinding in a hot tub. Especially after checking in and long drive.. There's not much else to do at the hotel so we were really looking forward to just spending time in the outdoor pool and hotub. We had to salvage our vacation somehow and at least book Saturday night at a different hotel with a pool/hot tub so we asked if we could cancel tomorrow's stay. They were ok with that, no cancellation fees. My family and I ponder on it for a bit while staying in our room that overlook the dry pool area. I could see in my kids faces the dissapointment. I hoped that the could possibly cancel today's stay (that way I wouldn't be out $179) or at least if I they could refund half the amount since the website didn't state the pool area was closed or under maintenance. Which most hotels, will have a disclaimer right on Thier site if it were under maintenance. I spoke to the manager Patrick and all they could do was offer 10% off.. We didn't even stay a night there, the kids were looking forward to swimming all weekend. We booked at the Fairmont for Friday and Saturday but it was well worth the money. I feel not having not having the disclaimer about the pool on the hotels website was almost trying to scam you to book and make you stay cause you've already paid the money and it can't be refunded. If we were looking to stay at just a room with no amenities we would've just booked a stay in Radium. 0/5 stars

I don't know why (maybe from reading previous reviews..) but I didn't have high hopes for this resort. I was so happy to see how wrong I was! We visited in May 2022, it was still chilly so the water park area was not open yet. The lady at the front (wish I could remember her name! - all i remember is she's from NB originally) was very helpful and cheerful! We used the pool twice, the hot tub multiple times (something about mountain views while in a hot tub always has me sold!) and my daughter looooved the games room. We played air hockey, pool, shuffleboard multiple times. It was clean and bright/airy! My daughter also liked the tennis courts and my husband used the gym once and had good things to say. Our room - we were given 401A. We had a patio that joined the livingroom and bedroom. It was an enormous patio backing onto the golf course and beyond that, the mountains. I loved having my coffee out there in the morning and my husband enjoyed BBQing with a mountain view! Nothing like how we BBQ at home in toronto! We booked a one bedroom so my daughter slept on a pull out couch. She didn't have any complaints and our bed was comfortable. The bathroom was a great size and the tub was enormous! The washer dryer was nice to have.. pretty sure B unit wasn't rented out so we had the washer/dryer to ourselves and we made good use of it! The kitchen had everything we needed and all full size appliances. We were able to make full meals every night and not have to rely on eating out! Overall, everything was fantastic and I would love to return. Everything about the hotel and the area won us over!

I absolutely highly recommend this place! Lobby was clean, staff was helpful and polite, new restaurant there, bar coming. This place has everything for my family and more. Coming from Alberta, this was such a treat to stay here. The general manager Carson came up to us, talked to us about the place, showed us around, made sure we felt welcome, and taken care of. You can tell the good vibes and passion that has been put into this place. The suites have that home away from home feeling. The only thing I would suggest or wish there was, was a gift shop to buy some hoodies, or magnets I could add to our collection of when our family travels. The view from our room of the mountain was INCREDIBLE. So much amenities in the building, and lots to do around the area! You wont be disappointed staying at this gem!

Met every need and more! Mountain View Resort was top notch! We understood the hotel had undergone renovations, and everything was great. Lots of parking, the large condo suite style building was very quiet to stay in. We knew there were a lot of guests from the parking lot, yet never heard or saw anyone. Set on the Riverside golf course, with surrounding mountains in Fairmont Hot Springs...WOW! The first "must" met, was being able to bring our dog, awesome accommodation of us. And we weren't put in a scummy room like a lot of 'dog friendly"hotels do, but a large, clean like home suite; on the ground floor, so easy access to take her out. The suite was huge: living room, full kitchen with all the appointments, eating area and an enormous bathroom with the biggest jacuzzi I'd ever seen ! Incredible. Everything was super clean, not a mark on the walls, or cabinetry, the carpet looked pristine. The bedroom had as much closet space and dressers as you'd ever want for, with a kingsize bed (there are a lot of hotels in the area that surprise you with DOUBLE beds). The 42" TV was new, great colour and resolution, hung over a gas fireplace. The power outlets and light switches were all new. The only thing I'd say the resort could do would be to have charging ports for electronics. We usually stay 5 minutes down the road, frequently as we are building a house in Fairmont. We are so glad they put up their prices causing us to search other options. Cost wise, let alone the actual premises doesnt hold a candle to Mountain View Resort, truly a stay "like home" away in comfort. Finally, I wanted to give a shout out to the great front desk staff, Patrick and Eileen. They couldn't have been more welcoming and warm, both checking in and when we left. We have booked rooms into June and July with the resort, and excited about our next weekend away! Yes, I highly recommend Mountain View Resort, and have been singing their praise to all the locals who might have guests staying in the area.

This spot was a real bummer. the building seems to be very cheaply made and the walls are paper thin. They advertise that there are hot tubs but they aren't available. The only good thing about this hotel was Zack. He was great! The water for the bath was tepid at full blast hot. The room was super dated but it was clean.

Good experience, great customer service, we were allowed to stay in the pool 2 hours after closing, beautiful place, nice apartment. The only thing I would say it wasn't that great was the fact that we booked a place for 4 people and there was only 1 bedroom and 1 sofa bed... that last one not comfortable... thanks though, we had fun!

We were extremely when we got into out room, that feeling went away pretty quickly. There was no hot water, so we weren't able to try the jacuzzi tub or even shower for that matter, informed the front desk, they said they were working on it. Didn't get fixed the three days we were there. The hot tub at the pool was out of order, the restaurant was supposed to be open, it wasn't. We had no sound on the TV in the bedroom, called the front desk 3 times about this, no one came by. Would have asked more times but they rarely answered the phone. It was extremely hot in our room, had the thermostat turned down, didn't help, tried to open the window in the room and the crank was busted off. If it wasn't for all these issues I would have given a 5 star review. Place is pet friendly. Luckily we booked through an online company and recieved about half of our money back.

The room we have is spacious, clean, & the furnishings are comfortable and nicely kept. The kitchen is outfitted with what a kitchen needs and its all very clean and kept nicely as well. The staff are great! They've been very professional and courteous. The property is in a very nice location with fantastic views and close to all the things we came to see and do. The balcony is absolutely perfect! Has a patio furniture for enjoying time out there and again, the views are amazing. If you're looking for a comfortable, clean hotel room that's more like a condo with kitchen and jetted tub then this place is for you. Its a really nice to have the space for our family to stretch out on our weekend away. We'll definitely stay here again!
