Chesley's Resort is a family campground in Petersfield Manitoba. It is mostly a seasonal site campground with cabins and motel rooms. It has a Thai-Canadian restaurant, boat launch, & boat dockage. We offer a beach and hunting & fishing right on Netley Creek.
About Chesley's Resort & Campground
Chesley's Resort is owned & operated by Kimberly & Joe Isfjord. We are located 50 KM from Winnipeg, north of Selkirk off HWY #9 in Petersfield. The campground is directly on Netley Creek which is only 2 miles to the Red River and close to Lake Winnipeg.
Operating as a family campground we are open from May 1st through to the Thanksgiving Long Weekend. We are extremely fortunate to be a close proximity to Winnipeg as well as having water access which makes our resort very popular and almost continuously completely full to capacity with a waiting list.
The campground is an extremely active place with numerous activities throughout the summer. The Camper's Committee works relentlessly putting on everything from kids fishing derbies, Halloween, movie nights, chili cook-offs, pancake breakfasts, karaoke, bingo, darts, crib, garbage ball, fireworks, music, parades, horseshoes, scrambles, almost everything you could imagine. Be as busy or as quiet as you want to be.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just to add to the already horrible reviews, do not go here. If you want a beach, go to Winnipeg beach. Not that much further. Their customer service was absolutely appaling. Not only did it not seem that anyone was in the office to pay, the owner had the audacity to hit my friends car leaving a hand print and rudely told us to go in and pay. I visited a couple times before and no one was there to pay. Our children were also continuously picking up glass and cleaning up their beach, personally I think my kids should have gotten paid by them. The lady who was also working was rude to my friend when she went in to pay.... On top of all of this the were arrogant people who were staying there and we finally had enough and just left. Do not go cause it is absolutely not worth it. I myself am boycotting this place... disgusted.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a nice place, but as they are even stricter about covid regulations than the government, it's not quite the get away that I had envisioned. They blocked off the playground and beach so that children couldn't play with their friends. The same children that I take care of every day, in my home daycare in the city!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been going to this campground since my 18yr old was 1yrs old, give or take a couple years in between. Have always enjoyed the ambiance of this location, as it just solidifies the whole camping/relaxation of holidays. Kim and Joe have always been gracious, and always concerned about their guests. If you ever go for a ride down the creek, you"ll be blown away, not only with the structure and cleanliness of their campground, but the surrounding area. By far the best.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is great! Most of the people here are awesome, other then some kids and the drama they bring. Beach is good, water is brown and mucky(its fine though) and the water is great for fishing! Edit: Restaurant is great as well as the food!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We have been camping here for 7 summers. Great community of seasonal campers that organize and participate in fun activities all summer long. Full service sites. Docks, beach and a great restaraunt! Owners are helpful and friendly. Just an all around great place to spend your summers!
