I was going to rate this 2 stars but the slopes ended up being fun. If I had brought my own equipment I probably would have rated 4 stars. This was my first visit to this resort, I got my tickets and rental ticket online. The tickets tell you to get there between 9-10 if you have a 10-2 (4 hours) ticket. We arrived there at 9:30 and I immediately went to the rental office for my equipment. The two kids running the front desk of it were little to no help right off the bat, there was no indication of where to stand and then the two kids never look up to help you. After filling my waiver I had to go back and ask for next steps and was only asked for my boot size and left alone on a bench. It was the wrong size and the kid was gone so I had to wait a while to flag him back down again to get a size up. The bad experience really was that I was in line for my snowboard for SO long and the cabin SO SMALL. People try the boots in the middle and the line does the inner perimeter of the cabin around the benches. None of the employees were enforcing COVID rules that were on posters. Some of the other guests kept taking off their masks and no one was practicing social distancing. Not to mention it was incredibly warm in there, we're 50+ people crammed into a tiny cabin and they're pumping the heat in so much some of the employees were in their t-shirts! I went in there at 9:30 and only came out at 10:50. I lost an hour of my allocated time just to stand around. I'm not sure what they could do to improve this system but if I had known it was going to be like this, I wouldn't have come here. Not to mention on my way out when I left, there was again no clear instructions or help to return my equipment. I had to flag down one of the kids again for what to do with the boots and he just told me to put them back where I found them. So does that mean they don't clean/spray any of the equipment??? No wonder my snowboard boots smelled so bad. For the mountain itself, it's smaller than other hills I've visited, they have a nice amount of trails but were only running 2 lifts. It was a VERY packed day and the lift lines were a bit long so it was odd they weren't running the 3rd lift. They had two areas with outhouses which was nice, no need to go inside the lodge. If I were to come here again, I would probably try to do evening visit instead to avoid the crowds and I would try to have my own equipment.

This is awesome place to learn Ski. My family and I learnt ski. We are so so thankful to all the coach. Yes, we did have private learning. It was worth. My wife and I had two Richards. Both were fantastic. If the rentals can be more friendly and appropriately help or guide on shoes for new skiers it would be fantastic!

Unlike other ski resorts, Mount Pakenham takes covid restrictions seriously. They don't allow parents/guardian to be on the bunny hill or close to the lineup to get on the chairlifts. Only guests with a lift ticket and ski/snowboard gear are allowed to line up for chairlift/go onto the bunny hill. Spectators, parents, guardian, etc are asked to wait by where the picnic tables are or wait in their car.

Had an amazing day, my son had an hour of semi private lessons, and really improved to the point he was able to go down Wizard with no fear! Highly recommend for anyone introducing their children to the sport!

Our family had so much fun here! There are slopes for different ski skills and it’s really easy for beginners to start practicing. There were many families with kids, the stuff was helpful and nice.

A Small Family Friendly Ski Club! Adequate lifts and decent terrain for beginners and average skiers. We had new skiers in our group and they had a great day. The conditions were perfect for a spring ski day. The outdoor seating was good and the cafeteria was decent and not too badly priced. We look forward to going back in the future.
