★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The owner Dwayne believes in personal service. You will find him on the floor helping customers almost every day.
If you need to order something special, then this is the place to go. Dwayne personally spent hours looking into special ordering me aluminum doors for my porch which I could not get anywhere else. Although they were made in Canada no other store wanted to take the time to do this. They were custom sized and with a non-regular milled finish. As well, the price was considerably less than what I had been quoted at a large box store in Ottawa - and that was not even for the exact product I wanted!
There has not been a single time I have walked into this store where one of the friendly staff has not approached me to say hello and ask if they can help me. Obviously the owner sets the atmosphere which all staff follow when it comes to personal customer service.
Now that's service!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff on the floor was very knowledgeable and friendly however the same can not be said for the cashier.... she seemed bothered by the fact that I wanted to pay for the items I came in for. Barely made eye contact with me and before I left I said “ thank you and have a great day” to which she said nothing. I would have expected her to say something along the lines of “same to you” or “thanks, you have a great day as well”... I guess I was expecting too much?... she must have been too preoccupied with the conversation that the other cashier was having as she proceeded to join the conversation and not even acknowledge that I had even said anything.... customer service goes a long way and even the simplest of things can make a customers shopping experience go from great to not so much.

They'll help you find what you need, and, if it's not in stock they'll do their level best to get it for you.
Relaxed and friendly atmosphere , store always clean and organized.
And .... the resident cat is a great bonus ?
