You will not find a more qualified, more passionate and more authentic breeder. We were first time dog owners and we decided that Havanese, which is touted as a small version to a golden retriever, would be the right breed for us. We personally called eight different breeders: one in QC; two in Ottawa and five in the Toronto area. Speaking with Pieternella for about an hour, she had something special about her. She represented an uncanny balance of art and science along with love and dedication to what she does. Her words, “I will find you the perfect dog” resonated. We had no doubt that we wanted to adopt one of her puppies. It turned out to be a perfect decision. And although Moors Havenese was 580km from our home, we chose them from the other seven breeders. She was available every time we called to answer our questions or emails. We picked up our baby Duke in April 2020. We instantaneously fell in love with him. He is now 8 months old and our love grows every day! On Thanksgiving Day, we just wanted to say a sincere thank-you to Pieternella for making a huge difference in our lives. We are so grateful.

This is our first Havanese and we could not be happier with the breed. Our Molly has been a wonderful addition to our family. While small in statue she is a sturdy dog who loves to play but is equally happy curling up on your lap for a snuggle. She has a wonderful disposition, is very good with children, does not shed and is super well behaved. Molly is now almost 6 years old and she has had no health concerns and continues to endear herself to all those who meet her.

I’ve been taking her to where my father lives, a LTC home, the residents love her. My father is always happy to see her. Scarlett says hello to everyone, allows the residents to give her affection, Scarlett enjoys the attention. She is 6 months old now, she is definitely my baby. I am looking forward for her to meet my grandson that lives in Dubai. They are all coming in September. She has definitely brought lots of love to my home, Havanese are a perfect family pet for any family.

Pieternella is very professional and answered all my questions before I even put down a deposit to even after I adopted my puppy. She cares so much for her dogs and you can tell. He has the best temperament. You can pull his ears and tail, flip him on his back and he never gets mad. Always happy, ready to give kisses. I just recently bought another puppy from Moors Havanese. Her name is Zoe and she absolutely beautiful. She is 6 month old now, was born black but has turned grey. Just like her half-brother, she has an amazing temperament and she is super smart.
