I have been bringing my fur babies to the clinic since 1987!! I moved away from Wetaskiwin a couple years ago and I now drive in so my pets continue to go to your clinic. I will only board my big old Buddy dog there, nowhere else. I want to say thank you to all of you for taking such good care of my animals over the years and for taking care of us as well, especially when the hard decisions had to be made and we had to say goodbye. You all go above and beyond. What all of you do there is appreciated so much more then I can relay here. Thank you to all of you for doing what you do!
I am so happy to have found a veterinary clinic that offers such comprehensive care without pushing for expensive blood work or other tests when it isn’t called for. I’ve never felt pressured to do more than what is called for and I have never had a shock when I go to pay. The rates are reasonable and the care for my animals has been great.
I absolutely love this clinic. I live in the north side in Edmonton and drive to Wetaskiwin for the kindness and expertise. They are so helpful, be it for a routine check up or an emergency they always put my mind at ease. Thank you for what you do!!

Our dog had a lot of trouble with allergies in the past and it wasn’t until our family friend recommended us to Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic that we were able to find a treatment plan that worked. They provided us with information and worked to create a plan that we could afford. The staff always take their time with us and we have never felt overcharged. They have been able to fit us in on an emergency situation as well. We really appreciate everything they do.

Dr. Tara was awesome with our new puppy Koda. He gave a little yipe when he got microchipped and she snuggled him up and told him it was okay but she had a story that might hurt his feelings. She had just microchipped a litter of 8 pups and they were all girls half his size and not one of them made a peep. She snuggled him some more and told him that’s okay, cause it was all done now and no more whimpers right… he let out one more tiny whimper almost on cue. LOL It was so darn cute ?
Exceptional and friendly service, doctor really cared about our dog and his injury and took the time to explain how to take care of him.

The entire staff at WAC are friendly and caring, both with my pets and myself. I had a puppy whose kidneys failed and he had to be put down. The staff showed us such care and compassion during that difficult time that I will never take my pets anywhere else.

Everyone is friendly and willing to answer all questions. The vet did rush through to give vaccines to my cat waited until she was comfortable and got down to her level. Always recommend to family and friends!!
The Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic has always given my animals wonderful health care. I use this clinic for our pets general health care, medications, vaccination services, dental care and emergency care. I have not been disappointed in the many years I have been a patron. I could not have such healthy happy Yorkies without the Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic doing what they do best. Dr John was so quick and efficient with Luna’s c section the puppies come out strong and awake and mama took no time to recover!!! I’m also very impressed with the care the entire team Took of Endora my Sphynx that had a c section with issues. She is here today thanks to your quick acting and amazing care ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I got my cat Neon fixed here, apparently she cooperated with the staff. She is such an amazing cat, always proving to me she is much more capable than I give her credit for. Anyways they took great care of her, prices were reasonable, they instructed me how to give her her medicine, honestly though I don't think she really needed it she was to her usual the very next day. She loves being able to go outside whenever she wants, for the longest time she stayed in my parents garage only seeing me, while I was homeless. She had her first litter in that garage, she was a great mommy cat, I love neon so much.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used to like this animal clinic but the last year has been painful anytime we have to deal with them especially since Covid.
They completely over charge for "emergency" appointments ($125) since a person would be unable to book an appointment within the same couple of weeks. Once you get there despite it being an "emergency" and you being charged excessively they still do not intake your animal immediately.
On another occasion my fiance' had an appointment for our one dog and called ahead of time to state she may be late, they said "you'll have to reschedule". She did make it several minutes early, called them to let them know she was waiting outside as their protocol requires. She waited 45 minutes past her appointment before anyone from the clinic took our dog in. Despite telling her she would have to reschedule if she was late at all, they took their time and did not inform her of anything. Once they did see her they said an emergency arrived, however my fiance' was the only vehicle outside.
They also no longer accept cash, debit or cc, instead you now have to email transfer them.
They've gone above and beyond to alienate us on every occasion we've taken our dogs to them this past year. We have now moved clinics and will no longer be going to them after many years of being customers. We are not alone as many of our friends and family have experienced similar issues.
I never leave negative reviews but after multiple visits and issues it's hard to turn a blind eye, hopefully my review warns others to stay away from this place till they learn to treat customers with respect.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I beg everyone to come here, it is out of the way if you don't live in Wetaskiwin but the price will makeup for the gas. I got my kitten spayed here and she ended up having a heart murmur and the vets were very communicative throughout the entire surgery so I would feel safe and comfortable, and I could only imagine how comfortable my kitten was if I was feeling like that on the other side of the phone! Her incision was amazing after and she did not need a cone or anything. (couldve just been her though) Place is very clean and they are taking covid precautions very seriously. All and all a great vet practice and will always come here and will continue to recommend to everyone I know! :) Kit and I thank you guys.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This clinic told me that if my dog has been in pain then it’s shouldn’t be a problem for him to continue to be while we waited 5 day for an appointment. They offered no help or suggestions on the meantime other then keeping him still ?
Avoid this clinic at all costs if you are looking for somewhere that cares about your pet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When all vet clinic in Ponka said it would be 10 days for a appointment I called Wetaskiwin Animal Clinic. They made the time just before closing hours. They were caring and diagnosed my little dog and fixed him. He is enjoying life without pain. This is a first visit. Have been with same vet clinic ic for 15 years in Ponoka. Now every visit, different vet. Can't get you in. Will use Wetaskiwin Clinic all the time now. Done with Ponoka Vets.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Worst clinic I have ever been to. Treat their clients and staff members like dirt. They don’t care about anyone but themselves. Want to save a few bucks? Go here. Wants a real clinic that’s going to treat you and your pet well, GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE. I have never seen such disrespect towards other humans as I have here. Will never recommend this clinic to ANYONE. Who in their right mind treats their staff so disrespectfully let alone clients. I can’t imagine what happens behind closed door to my precious animals. This place is HORRIBLE. NEVER EVER BRING YOUR PETS HERE.

When she was put down I hear they treated her with respect and we were surprised a short time later to get a very thoughtful letter from the staff.
If you want a clinic that cares from start to end please consider them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have only been taking my dog(s) here for about 4 years but they have always been wonderful for the most part. The only complaint I would make is that the first time being here, we had a brand new puppy and our older dog. The vet taking care of us did not spend anytime with my older girl and gave all the attention to our puppy. I realize that puppies can be exciting but EVERY dog should be taken care of, regardless of age. Other than that, every other time has been great and all the doctors and techs have been wonderful. Just recently we had to put our older girl down and Dr. Alex was so compassionate and caring and made sure our girl was taken care of. A few days later we received a sympathy card with prints of Zoeys paws and her nose. It was such a wonderful surprise. That being said, I would recommend this clinic to anyone as your pet will be taken care of.
