Moon Dance Vacation - The Perch & The Cabin

This was my second time at staying at the cabin. My first time was with my family and this time it was just a mother daughter trip before I move up North. The cabin is absolutely perfect in every way. It's so quiet, peaceful and relaxing but still just a short drive to restaurants and shops. The cabin it self has everything you could or would ever need including the most amazing soaker tub. My mom feel in love right away and we made many great memories enjoying a glass of wine on the most perfect deck watching the tide come in. We will mostly definitely be back. Kathleen and Brent are amazing hosts right from the time of booking to the time of check out and after. I can't say enough about this little peice of paradise.

We just spent a lovely 4 days at Moon Dance cabin. The cabin is cozy with a wood stove to sit by and watch the rain come down. The bay is filled with a whole bunch of ducks and eagles. There are lots of hiking and walking trails near by. We loved it and are planning our next visit.

This is pretty much my favourite place on earth. The cabin and the perch are both the coziest of romantic getaways, fully stocked with everything you could need. They’re totally isolated from their neighbours—you feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere—but services and company are both nearby if you’re in the mood. Reliable Internet, comfy beds, full kitchens, wood-burning fireplaces, and 2-person tubs with spectacular views. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We just returned to the city, after spending two peaceful days at The Perch. We were there during the snowfall, which blanketed the trees and cabin, making everything look like a fairy tale setting. We feel refreshed and ready to start the New Year. Our entire experience from booking to leaving on our last day was more than we could ask for. Kathleen was professional, friendly, and very attentive. On our way to The Perch we got a little lost in the snow, but after calling Kathleen to orient ourselves, she cheerfully came out to greet us and showed us the way to our storybook cabin. The cabin was immaculately clean. A lot of love and care has gone into making it a cozy, comfortable home for everyone who visits. We were able to find all of the kitchen equipment needed to prepare a steak dinner, which we enjoyed while watching the mesmerizing fireplace. In the morning we woke up to the most beautiful snow covered scenery. We made sure to go outside to enjoy it fully, and took some some beautiful photos, which we will forever treasure. Kathleen kept us updated on the weather, and warned us it might be hard to get out of the snow the next day. We chose to stay, and hoped for the best. The next morning we realized we were stuck in the snow. Even with new snow tires, we were not able to get out. Once again we called Kathleen, and she was able to provide the number for the local tow truck. While we were waiting, we saw an older gentleman walking his dog. He approached us and soon learned of our situation. He wished us well, and let us know where he lives, in case we needed his help. After waiting for an hour, we soon learned that both BCAA and the local tow truck were not able to help us. We were definitely stuck. While we were debating on what to do, we saw the same gentleman walking towards us with a shovel in hand. There were also other people walking their dogs. He spoke with them, and all of a sudden all of these amazing people were helping to push our car out of the snow, over a hill and onto the road. We were on our way out. The people followed our car, and came to our aid two more times to get us over hills. Fearing we would get stuck again if we stopped to thank them properly, we thanked them the best we could from out the window, and waved goodbye as we were finally free. We will be forever grateful to these kind and generous people who helped us that day. We informed Kathleen and Brent of this situation, and they have assured us they will make sure to thank their neighbours on our behalf. The Perch was the most perfect cabin. We will definitely be back. We would love to see it in the fall sometime in the near future. If we return again during a snowfall, we will make sure we rent a vehicle with all wheel drive. We had a perfect stay in a wonderful romantic house in a amazing area far away from hectic and stress. The perch is one of the most spectacular Cabins in Britisch Columbia, fully equiped kitchen and private patio with a spectacular view to Mount Daniel. Many thanks to our hosts sharing this little piece of heaven with us. We are comming back, for sure.

I would really like to leave 1 star so this cabin won't get sold out when we return... What a fabulous spot to wind down from busy life. Tranquility let's you relax and forget about everything but nature and most importantly; focus on your partner. Fully equipped kitchen and private patio away from literally everyone else really let's you enjoy the time there. I don't even know how I could express my feeling. You got to try it out yourself to know! It was a wonderful stay, and my wife was extremely happy with this trip. Thank you so much Kathleen!

My wife and I visited the Moondance in January of 2022 with a fresh snowfall. This is a wonderful and Brilliantly laid out property. Private, Peaceful and stunningly beautiful inside and out. Furniture and décor makes you feel right at home....actually more comfortable than home. The hosts were lovely and communication was excellent. We can't wait to return!!

The Moondance Cabin is a really special place. The cabin itself is comfortable and romantic, with thought put into all the little details, the surroundings are breathtaking and Kathleen is a gracious host. We stayed for 3 nights and are going back for a week next time. When you want to go off the grid without actually going very far, this is a great spot.
