Beautiful and full of rich history. The host of the first IFBB Pro show in 1959, Mr. Universe. Home to many other shows and performance. Lovely ambiance.

I didn't actually go here but I met someone who performed here and she offered a little sunshine on a gloomy day ; it was a pleasure waiting out the rain with her

I went to a show at this venue and they didn't adhere to their own door times, blamed the audience who was given no direction, then kicked out myself, my partner, and about 50 other people from the main room of the theater due to their own timing error (we just walked into the theater at doors, no one directed or stopped us). People lost their front of the line spots and the staff made it seem like we were in the wrong. Poor organization at best. I will say while one staff member was beyond rude to the entire group, the woman that was accepting tickets at the mezzanine door was extremely professional and empathetic to the situation.

A modernized old theatre with a lot of history, lovely architecture, good service, and a variety of programming. I've always enjoyed the performances and events I've seen here: from cultural arts, music, dance, opera, comedy, improv and more..your pick. Visibility from each seat section is good; haven't found a bad seat yet. The cafe by the entrance fits a small stage for small events shows as well. It can sometimes get a bit crowded on the way out but it is not a giant theatre so still manageable. Overall I really like coming here and find the proximity to Chinatown wonderful for a pre- or post- show bite. In other words: no rushing after dinner to get to the venue!

A really nice theatre with comfortable seats and great legroom. The location is also easy to get to and there are great shows. There is a nice little cafe on the first floor if you are early. After your show you will have lots of options as this is located in a fairly active area with halls and food nearby including China town.

This splendid vintage theatre at the National Theatre School of Canada hosts many theatrical, comedy and musical events, and occasionally speakers and political events. It hosts shows for some of Montreal's festivals, including Just for Laughs.

Experimental Immersion Experience Annually CINARS showcases arts performance events in various venues some are free. Attended and participated in a live silent acting group moving around the crowd and building inside then watched free, Tabarnak a circus mocking Christianity and Church tabernacle. This is for adventurous post modern non-traditional audiences.

Went for the free Mutek Play experience. The event took place in a basement area (Studio Hydro Quebec I think it's called) which looked like a small club. It had a nice ambience but was a bit small. There was a small bar upstairs. Event staff and security were nice and helpful. The building is a historic building with plenty of charm but with a modern interior. I would attend an event at this establishment again. Chinatown is a few steps away.
