Was a terrible experience. Had reservations to celebrate our daughter’s 21 birthday. Our group of 8 were all seated by 6:40. By 8:15 we still had not received our meals and were told several times by the manager that food was coming in 10-15 min or a few more minutes which ended up being 30 min. We had to finally tell our birthday daughter to take her baby and go home. We still waited for food after another attempt at talking to the manager. We wanted to cancel the order so we could just leave. Then we were told the food is in the window so we could sit and eat it but we requested it to go. So again waiting for the food to be brought out in the take out bags. Manager comped the full orders however we were so disappointed that our daughter’s celebration dinner was a total disaster. By the time we could eat the take out food it was terrible. It looked like it had been sitting under a heating lamp for hours. The fish and chip order was so dry and odorous we had to throw it out. Can’t imagine going back, ever.

This is my go-to location when I'm with a few family members who are selective eaters. I've been here dozens of times and the closest I've had to a bad experience was one time my wife's steak came well done when she ordered rare. Our server was also slow that day. It looked like they may have been short staffed like a lot of places during covid. But he was friendly, and as soon as he saw the center of the steak he apologized, immediately took it back and returned promptly with a new one, made sure it was right and informed us it had been removed from the bill.

Me and girlfriend went there on our anniversary and we were seated right away, our server was this amazing girl got our drinks really quick, recommended amazing food, and it came out pretty quick it was delicious. We got spinach dip, nachos , and a steak. We accidentally knocked over a cup thank god it was pretty much empty and our server made a joke out of it so it wasn’t as embarrassing and I’m so glad we had her.

We were there for dinner, while I understand that things are tough lately, we still spend our hard earned money there. 6 people for dinner and only 2 had meals that were correct. Missing chicken, for the fajitas, then brought out chicken that was like cardboard. Also they had different buns for the burgers and lack of sauce and toppings for the burgers. Really want to be understanding but for a meal that we dont go out for often this was unacceptable.

It was a disappointing experience for me overall. I got a birthday coupon in my email so I was excited to spend my birthday dinner here with my family. We were seated fairly quickly and our orders were taken promptly. The server though did not seem very welcoming and friendly. I understand that the servers get busy with other tables but as a customer who chose to celebrate a special occasion at this restaurant, I was hoping for more enthusiasm. I asked about the birthday coupon and the management didn't seem to be aware of it. The server took a picture of the coupon sent to my email. I asked twice to get the free dessert, which made it even more awkward. She gave us a tiny bowl with a hard chocolate chip cookie inside and a mini scoop of vanilla ice cream. I remember being able to pick a free dessert from the menu, but I guess things have changed. The server asked if she can get us the bill while we were still eating, and I said it was fine but I thought that she will just give us the bill. Two minutes later, she came with the machine while my hands were still covered in rib sauce and I had to dig through my purse to find my wallet to not keep her waiting. She also said we can take our time to finish our meal but she came back to our table and we had to say no to collecting our plates twice as we were still working on our food. It was just an awkward and sad experience. My family used to come here to celebrate special events, but we haven't been back until today because of the pandemic. I should have chosen a different restaurant to celebrate my birthday dinner. Anyway, my toddler loved her first time eating ribs so that made me happy. And thank you, Montana's, for the free dessert and 10% off our meal.

I was very disappointed with our visit.y husband and I frequent the Montana in St. Albert often and have always loved it. This location did not start off well and continued to decline. There was no greeter when we entered and we had to wait 10 minutes to be acknowledged (the restaurant was only half full). Our appetizer came over cooked. My meal was burnt and the kitchen had just tried scraping the burnt stuff off. I asked for ranch dressing on the side of my salad and it came drenched in dressing (which was weirdly spicy). My drink also had pepper-like black bits in it. I talked to the waitress about all of this and she asked me if I still wanted my burnt food or if I wanted it remade (seriously?). She had it remade to go and said my meal would be removed from the bill. When the bill finally came (which we had to wait 15 mins after she said she was bring it!), it had everything on it and no discounts applied. I asked her about it and she told me I didn’t have to pay for the remade wrap! We had to pay full price. We asked for the AMA discount, which she went and applied to the bill, but on the machine she charged us the original bill amount! Unbelievable. I left very disappointed with my whole experience. On another note, my husband enjoyed his meal.

We went to Montana's for supper, party of 3. My meal was good, I enjoyed it. Second member of the party enjoyed her meal. Third member of the party-got the wrong size steak. They apologized and offered a discount. Well done team! Then the steak was not cooked to his liking. The team offered to fire a fresh steak of the correct size AND still give a discount. Kudos team really well done. That's where the positives ended unfortunately. Our server from the time of the refire seemed to forget our table existed. Yes they were busy. Sure she may have been new on the job. But- she had no problems visiting the other tables near us, just never ours. My friend had to ask the people at the booth behind us to please send our server over when she came back to them. When the server DID come back to us, she was a lot cooler than she had been initially. Then I had to go to the hostess stand to ask if we could please have our bill, since once again our server was MIA. This was the biggest letdown of the evening for me. If you make a mistake own it and move on. I will probably not return to this location and it's a shame because a simple I'm sorry and attending to our table would have made it a lovely evening. No need to hold simple mistakes against anyone. But if you ignore me, no offer of refills no asking if we might like dessert or coffee, no bringing the bill? Sorry I felt letdown.

Came in today with my husband they were quite busy and there was a little bit of a wait. however our server Meghan was quick and welcoming. Made sure we were taken care of the whole night ! Food was good, however it did take almost 30 minutes. Definitely worth the wait! Will definitely be going back.
