Nice place for a good dinner if you are in Barrie. Quick friendly service, reasonable prices.

Andrea was amazing her delightful personality and knowledge of her bar was a refreshing change. She is a diamond in the rough and other bars are at a loss not having her. All the staff at this restaurant are well trained and work as a well oiled machine and it is a treat to dine hear a must try if you haven’t. Kudos to the management staff for running a successful restaurant and the food is amazing as well

Tasty food, attentive staff, and good with following covid protocol! Got the rib & wing combo with sweet potato fries and was not disappointed. The wings were perfectly crispy on the outside, well done yet tender on the inside. However, it seems the ribs weren't very well slow cooked, as the flavours didn't really seep all the way through to the center. Nonetheless, this location is a pretty good bet, especially given current circumstances!

Driving my father-in-law home from up north, we stopped in Barrie for a quick dinner with an hour and a half left in the drive as it was after 6 pm. Montana's is usually very consistent and reliable., so we thought we would take our first restaurant experience in two years at Montana's on Bayview Drive, off Maple View. About 6:12 we were told the wait would be an out 20-25 minutes to be seated. And about 6:35 we were on the patio and a short time after giving our drink orders, which came right away. That was the last we saw if the staff for another 20 minutes. Time ticked by, and after An hour after being seated went by with no one returning to ask if we needed anything, etc, I was ready to leave, announcing ten more minutes and we will leave and find an alternative along the remainder of the trip. The person clearing the table adjacent to us probably overheard me, as she went inside a moment later before returning to finish clearing the table. Our meals arrived only a minute under the wire. I was just reaching for my sunglasses and wallet and starting to explain it was time to go. 7:44 pm After bringing out the dinners, I was asked if we needed anything else, so I asked for the cheque right away so we would not be left waiting again. I realise the restaurant service industry has struggled for the last two years and there is a staff shortage, but keeping people waiting for that long without even an acknowledgement or forwarding of the wait time for kitchen service is not a way to encourage returning customers. There are lots of independent restaurants out there that suffered far worse. Guess where I will take my business in the future.

First off Montana's 6 out of five stars. My husband and I had a wedding reception here in 2020 and it was amazing such home feeling staff was great the food was awesome they catered to us they even did a set menu that they went over with us and because we had our wedding reception here we actually had a commercial based on hometown incidences and if you Google Montana's wedding I believe where the bride has bouquet flowers and it lands on the service plate that's based on our wedding reception that we had and was the very first ever out of Montana's Barrie South Montana's is number one over anywhere we love them and they are go to place to eat

4 of us came in for beer and wings last night for their annual free pound of wings night. Wait wasn't bad, they will seat you asap and girls up front were on the ball. Wings are scrumptious, perfectly breaded, crunchy, and right amount of sauce that makes you salivate for more. Nothing like good bones and sauce? Speaking of bones, this place has amazing ribs as well Someone from head office came around to check in on us and that was nice and encouraged us to write a review on what we would like to see, so here it is. I gave them 4 stars only because everytime we come in the service is disappointing, they lack the friendliness and always approach us with the same set routine that comes off inattentive. They should be able to approach each customer with a fresh standpoint. Yes, we will still come back for their great beer and wings and amongst other things☺

Service was good, went there with a party of 2 my first time. Party of 4 second time. Service was better for party of 4. Food was good. The steak was dry/chewy, and ribs had more bone than I’m used to. Quesadillas were good, the plating for them was attractive. Everything else was very tasty, even the skillet mushrooms, and I am not a mushroom fan. Dessert was delicious. Not my first choice of restaurant in Barrie, but I might go again.

Very nice staff they kept checking up to make sure we were doing okay and liking everything. my husband and I both had a 10 oz sirloin with loaded potato and mushroom skewers it was so good! Cooked perfectly how we asked for. The drinks were also excellent . Will definitely be returning next time we are in town!
