Mohawk College

Initially I thought it’s going to be my future college but I was wrong that time applied for fall in mohawk waited over 3 months for my offer I called them thousand time wrote many mailed but never got any satisfied answer. Their international staff isn’t supportive was rude on phone calls too this unprofessional behaviour forced me to change my college now I’m thanking to god I didn’t join Mohawk. Folks please select your college wisely otherwise you have regret.

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Here are some of the following reasons. -Teachers do not care whatsoever about the students; all they care about is the money. -I can't even count how many times I have had classes cancelled and no reschedule of them ( also class time is being changed all the time with last min notice ) - You can never get a hold of anyone from the college itself, so trying to get the help you need is near impossible. -Good luck with trying to get the help you are on your own. Most teachers will not answer your emails, and when you ask in class about it, they will just avoid it. - Also, never take complaints about teachers seriously Update 30/03/2022 Up to this point, my rating would be zero, as it was before. You would think those issues would have been fixed/resolved from my previous post. However, they have not been fixed/resolved. The following are some other issues I have encountered that I haven't mentioned in my previous review. -The quality of learning is awful, with professors who do not even teach the course material, instead, they talk about their personal lives in lectures. Yet students are still expected to take chapter quizzes. (There is no textbook for the class) - It is ridiculous how disorganized professors are. It is unprofessional to have professors plan for their next class during your session. The purpose of these lectures is to learn. - Oftentimes, professors forget that we are have class. I'm not sure how this happens, but it does. We've had a class on the same day and at the same time every week for months now. I believe that the professors at Mohawk College have shown carelessness in this case If you are thinking about applying to Mohawk college, I hope you read all of these reviews and think about your choices again. There are much better colleges out there that will treat you with respect and have teachers that care about you.

Hello. I have been trying to apply and have sent countless emails but only shallow responses. Please I wanted to apply for the Medical Laboratory Technician program of the Continuing Education but I can't see it among the options when choosing for a program. Please i need help

White males need not apply you will face nothing but discrimination and hostility. Both the staff and students at Mohawk College care more about playing identity politics than treating others equally. I got lucky I experienced this before I applied for OSAP and pulled my application now I'm making as much as I would if I had gotten my Milwright degree without it and have an apprenticeship lined up at Conastoga College.

I have always had issues with Mohawk College- from giving two student ID numbers, to emailing my tuition fees to an old unused email account. They don’t offer support or help. I guess I’m stupid for going back Mohawk again and again. Most recently, my issue with Mohawk College is their employment service centre. I reached out to them for information and help in finding a job. One of their employment consultants emailed me a job lead that turned out to be fraudulent. I trusted Mohawk fully, I assumed they knew what they were doing. I thought they would check the employers posting jobs on their board, not just background checks but they could have called them or something making sure the job post is legitimate. DON’T USE THIS SERVICE- save yourself the headache.

Avoid this school at all costs. I was registered to take the second level of my trades apprenticeship program to begin in January, and Mohawk cancelled the program with less than two weeks notice. I lost over $6000 in rent, and accommodations. I was then registered in the next course available to run late February when again, less than three weeks from the start date Mohawk cancelled the entire course again. For the second time, I am out over $6000 in prepaid accommodations after being told this course would for sure be a go. I’m shocked this is how Mohawk treats tradespeople, especially students. They clearly do not care about the mental health or finances of young people, and are only in it for the money.

It hurts me to write this considering based on the first time I attended mohawk this would have been different. Mohawk has become one of the worst places to support their student. I honestly don't know how they support their students. They don't reply to emails, don't take student concerns seriously, don't teach or refuse to assist in learning, I experienced severely years of a teacher insulting people's intelligence. I would recommend you go elsewhere and to mohawk I would recommend you remove you are the #1 school in the GTHA because that can't be true with the lack of support and education you actually give to your students.

Mohawk College is a menace to the community. Every neighbour that has to live in the vicinity of students has to suffer. Noisy and overcrowded! A lot of the newcomer students lack etiquette too. The neighbourhood is turning into one big rental slum. Broken porches, busted driveways, decrepit roofs, garbage everywhere. This doesn't look like Canada anymore. Everyone is a stakeholder thanks to Mohawk. Mohawk has a 3.7 review too! That's terrible!
