I don't shop here a lot. When things go on backorder, you can wait a LONG time before it comes in. I find this company disorganized. Support staff are really lovely though.

we got amazing deal on boxing day. also staff very cheerful. however, sometimes they know nothing about things they sell.

I just had a horrible experience at this location.. I checked google to see when this location closed and it said 5:30. I leave school early and take an evo to modern beauty, because I wanted to get there before they closed. I am a student at blanche macdonald so I had to give them a paper stating that I am legally allowed to buy products from their store. when I arrive its about 4:45pm, I grab the products I need, and notice that the employee was talking to a customer so I took my time because I knew I had to wait anyways. when the customer leaves, I go to the cash and hand her the paper in which the director of my school gave me(at this time its 4:59pm in which the employee pointed out to me). she didn't seem to know what to do so she called her manager Christina.. I hear Christinas over the phone asking her employee why Im in the store and kept repeating that. she got off the phone and told me that she can't help me because they're closed. this has been hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced and it will definitely not be forgotten. I for one, will not be shopping at that store ever again and will encourage my school to not recommend modern beauty supplies to their students anymore. I am very disgusted by their lack of customer service, and angry with my experience considering the circumstances it took me to get to their store. absolutely unacceptable customer service form the manager Christina. ps. the employee that was working was very nice, I felt bad for being rude, but you really need to re evaluate your management/ ethics. if I could give negative starts, oh you know I would.

I have always enjoyed shopping at Modern until I came across this location. The staff has no idea what they are doing and to handle their incompetence they attack the customer rather than explain their issues to find a resolution. The manager Lena is an aggressive hostile woman who has no customer service skills. For a company that benefits so much from service providers like myself who rely on their products, they really should have a better manager. Not one who is combative and yells at customers who spend good money! This Lena might be the reason this company loses my business unless the issue gets resolved and I get my full money back for the shipment that was never delivered! If you need to order from modern do not order from this location. You might never receive your product or your money!

I was sooo happy to have sherry (shahrzad) as cashier, she gave me lots of good information about those products that I was asking for , she had enough knowledge to help me with my shopping it’s really good to have someone to now about other language to help costumes, that’s really smart of management to have her around, so helpful so patient and so nice and polite , I’ll definitely be back because I had such a great experience. Thanks sherry for your help ?and see you soon .

I am a salon owner have been shopping from Modern many years , with my recent big purchase I had very bad experience, I have ordered two sets of gray colour towel , it’s very bad quality, falling apart and expensive compared to other stores. There is a back order of shampoo cape for over 4 months I paid the invoice not receiving the cape they are hoping you forget about the back orders. Order a brand new expensive Trolley, it comes as used floor models when I email there furniture sales person in Calgary Khaled , his theory was even we sell you new ones after a month be looking old I have kept his email is very sad , no discount, no sorry for bad sells charge you for new products sending you used ones .

If I could give them zero, I would definitely do. The staff are rude, aggressive and so mean they attack the customer rather than explaining. The manager is also a racist and aggressive hostile woman who has no customer service skills. This company should have a better manager. Not one who is combative and yells at customers.
