J	Jeremy Robins on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My two kids have had lessons with MJMS for a number of years now. It has been a phenomenal experience from the get go. The teachers are amazing, the lessons are fun, with the kids very much involved in choosing the music they'll play, and the physical space is very welcoming. I'm writing this review during Ontario's COVID-19 lockdown, which has of course had a dramatic affect on all our abilities to move around and do the things we love. Mercifully, MJMS has not missed a beat. They transitioned immediately to virtual lessons, which have kept all the positive elements of the "normal" lesson experience - the welcoming physical space being replaced by a welcoming virtual space. My kids really enjoy seeing their teachers via computer screen from the comfort of their living room. The lessons remain excellent with the teachers, when necessary, asking the kids to adjust their screen to show their fingers so those parts of a lesson that are part and parcel of a face-to-face one are not lost. The use of Cadenza to track practice and assign work has been a big hit with my kids as well. Pre-lockdown, during lockdown, MJMS is just impressive. I highly recommend them!.

It has been the best experience. I live in a rural area so this would've never been possible for me under normal circumstances. Michael is so professional yet personable, extremely knowledgeable, and has got me on the right track with where I'm currently at in my playing. Highly recommend! If that still small voice in the back of your head is contemplating some music lessons right now, just go for it.

There was something about being able to be in my home space that set me at ease and reduced any feelings of self consciousness about singing in front of someone. Henry, the instructor, is so encouraging and makes you feel so comfortable. He had great tips for improving my singing skills in a way that makes me actually excited to sing on my own outside of class time. Annie made the online set up seamless even when I had some technical difficulties. She was right there to patiently get me off and running. I highly recommend MJMS to anyone, any age, any skill level. Just go for it...you won't regret it!

The teachers are kind, patient and genuinely interested in what the kids hope to achieve. We have always enjoyed the end of year recital as well and are blown away by the talent. Annie and Michael are so responsive and I would highly recommend them.

My boys have had great instructors and they love the method of learning, where they get to choose the type of music they wants to learn. The school founders Michael and Annie are so amazing - always finding new and fun ways to engage students, especially during COVID.

The instructors are all passionate musicians. Both of my teenage kids had very positive experiences, before and during covid, online and in person, with guitar and vocal lessons, it was all super professional, creative and also very personal and caring.
