Milton Heights Campground

Our family has been to numerous trailer parks across Canada and the USA in the last 25 years. Regrettably we had occasion to stay at this absolutely filthy and disgusting, wretched excuse for a trailer park. The owners and staff are rude, continually harassed us throughout our stay. They advertise a pool and feel that due to their policies it is OK not to let people know it is not open. However, they do not have a problem making up their own policies as they go and charging people money left right and center. Be aware that they will abuse your rights as a camper with ridiculous inexcusable restrictions. If I could get a -5 star rating I would. Absolutely disgusting!

I have stayed at this campground many times but this latest stay was very disappointing and unsatisfactory as they do not have very good customer service at all. I know their reply/comment will be “Thank you for bringing up one of our rules!!”. This is their attitude and how they deal with paying customers. My BIGGEST COMPLAINT had to do with services I DID NOT RECEIVE which I explain below. When I booked the site I was told important information such as check in time, cost for visitors BUT I was not told they have a limit of 5 guests per site rule. The receptionist said that she believed it came into effect during COVID. I explained that I had a birthday party for my sister years ago and the had a “celebration of life” get together a few years later at this park. They were accommodating on those occasions and so I said I would appreciate it if she could ask if I could have a get-together for a couple hours for my family to see their 91 year old father/grand father/great grand father. The answer was no as they didn’t want to receive any complaints from other campers. The area they put us had one other camper. The rest of the lots were empty and some in a distance were seasonal I believe but didn’t see anyone there. The latest we would have been was 9:00 Now for the services “I did not receive but paid for”!!! As we were preparing to pack up and leave we placed the sewer hose in the drain hole and pulled the black water release. Within seconds the black water came spewing out as it was full/not draining. We rushed to get it stopped so not to make anymore mess than it already caused. I was NOT able to empty the rest of the black as well as the grey tank. I was delivering this trailer to someone else who now has to dump from our use. Upon checkout I spoke to the receptionist explaining what happened. She said “yes we have had a problem at a few sites!!!!!”. I asked if I could get a refund for paying for a 3 way site (water, electric, sewer) to a 2 way site (water, electric) as that’s the only services we received. The receptionist called the Manager/Owner/superior and explained my situation to him. Much to my surprise she told me he said “they do not give refunds and I could have caused the problem myself!!!!” The receptionist was apologetic as she understood my concerns but not once did the owners apologize nor offer any other options for dumping (like pulling into another one of their MANY empty sites). The receptionist asked me if I wanted her to call him back which my answer was “no thank you, I have already wasted too much time and am completely shocked and disappointed in the services and attitude by owners who do not care about their customers.” I have been camping for over 30 years and I am always making recommendations to friends, strangers and RVing community groups about good places to stay but feel it’s equally important to reveal “not so good” places so they don’t have the same experience as I did. This was not a cheap stay as it was $80+ for one night. My honest recommendation would be to check out the neighbouring KOA if needing to stay in that area. This recommendation is based solely on my experience regarding to a non-operating septic system and lack of customer service and wanting to help with this problem. Thankfully I can say I have not had to make this poor of a review (if ever) so my camping experiences until now have been amazing.

We are currently nearing the end of a 4-month stay at Milton Heights. We have really enjoyed our time here; the surroundings are beautiful, the location is very convenient, the facilities are spotless and the office staff is very efficient. You are expected to follow the rules; this results in a peaceful, safe and secure environment. Try it for yourself!

Stayed at Milton Height for the month of April 2022as we had just sold our home. The location is fabulous and close to many amenities. We found the pricing to be reasonable especially because of its location. The campground is very well kept and very clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. We were informed by the staff that The water during our stay was not potable but they offered free bottled water in large quantities The owner was very friendly and we had several long chats and exchanged many humorous and life stories The campground is very tightly run and we did appreciate that as it made our stay very comfortable Yes the 401 I is very close and loud but a good set of ear plugs solved that and location certainly out ways the noise Re the negative reviews that we saw online We did not experience any such negativity in our months stay Thank you Milton Heights and we will see you in the fall once we return from the Maritimes

Honestly the best campground around! The owners and staff are beyond accommodating. The property is well kept and the location is perfect for those looking to explore the GTA and surrounding area. Nestled in a peaceful, picturesque landscape with several trails minutes away! We highly recommend Milton Heights Campground! Thank you for such a wonderful stay. ❤

This campground was amazing! The staff were so friendly, accommodating, and answered all my questions with great detail. The policies they have really shows they care about campground and helps it to remain peaceful, safe, and enjoyable for all! The place is well maintained to keep its natural beauty. My family and I will definitely come back!

We stayed at Milton Heights Campground for the winter season for 2021/22. Andy, the owner and the staff are great to deal with. Always happy to engage and serve. The campground is well maintained and manicured with beautiful landscaping. The lot sizes are good with long gravel pads. All three services on the sites. The campground is located to many local attractions, shopping and sites to explore. Yet set in a rural area. I recommend this campground. It’s a good place to stay and visit the area. This is a well organized and well run campground. Thank you Team Milton Heights Campground for a great experience.

This campground has a great location if you’re looking to explore the GTA and is very well maintained. We were happy to have a full service site with 50 amp power and storage for our tow behind trailer. It is dog friendly and there was a nice park for the kids. The campground itself was nice and quiet and the highway noise was not bad. As others have stated they felt there was too many rules, we weren’t bothered by them as everything was very reasonable. The owner was very friendly and we had a great conversation with him around our fire while he was waiting for a late check in.
