Another place said the couldn't do it for two weeks, but only needed about an hour for job. Same sort of story everywhere I called. Midas? One hour and booked me for day and a half after I called, bill was really reasonable and staff was great. Same story every time I go there, which is why I keep going back.

Last December, we had the oil change and tire change in this Midas and were charged around $120 for the service. So last week, we made an appointment and dropped our Hyndai Sonata 2012 (milage less than 60,000 km) in Midas for the same service: oil and tire changes. When we picked up the car from Midas 2 days after, the sales Brad billed us for more than $1200. We were shocked and asked him to provide us a detailed print out of the charge. He then explained to us that the charge included an oxygen sensor that's not installed in our car. So why charge us for that? Then he removed the item "oxygen sensor" from the bill and reduce the amount to $839.85. Though we know little about cars and the inflation is high, but cost more than $800 for oil and tire change, it didn't sound right. But our car was under the control of Midas , the only thing we can do is to pay them in full to release our car. This is a robbery. Enclosed is the bill Midas charged us. Midas did not inform us in advance of the charge nor have our agreement. On Midads website and in their shop, the maximum charge of oil change is $69.99. While you look at the bill, the labor only for the oil change is $132.45. Is this legal? We called several times tried to reach the manager Don to fix the billing issue, but he's not available and no one else is able to handle our complain. We are hoping Midas gets back to us if they can see our review.

With little time to spare, I drove over to Midas on Island Hwy in Nanaimo and within 90 minutes Don and the team replaced two of our tires and has us back on the road. THANK YOU for saving our trip!

Service was fast, reasonably priced and they had no difficulty with parts (I have used other businesses before that i had to wait 2-3 days for a part, so this is important). Attitude was good and I was happy with service.

Brad and Robert are awesome guys who ended up tightening our screeching power steering belt. They gave us advice as to our front end work also.
