J	John J Penner on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ok as a grocery store, but not remarkable. I bought some flowers on Valentine’s Day, and they started wilting badly the next day. Perhaps they had been improperly stored or frozen. They also placed an inexperienced clerk next to the flower stand who had no idea of how to wrap flowers to protect them from the cold on they way home. The Valentine sale of flowers at the Independent, for which they should have been prepared, was a complete bust! A rip off.

Beautiful looking cakes but I waited 15 minutes a few months ago for help and just now it was 5 minutes..which turned into 10 which turned into 20 minutes!! I should have given up way sooner. I went and grabbed a worker who didn’t even seem to want to help me ? I ended up just leaving and going to Sobeys, Sobeys is wayyyy better! Save yourself the time and just go somewhere else ? Update it’s 3:54pm still waiting Update 4:05 pm I’m leaving ? Waited 20 minutes 2 workers came up to help both left to find someone else other staff just walked by and didn’t even ask, even though i was looking right at them to help. ? The 2 workers who did talk to me didn’t come back! what a day i just need the birthday cake!
L	Lisa D on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They need to stop putting the ready-made chickens away before close... I have often stopped to grab one for supper just before close and they're "put away"... So frustrating when they carry something but you can never get it... If I could get it earlier I would... I will usually quickly grab a few other things I need and I'm out before close... Not convenient if they do this! Will go elsewhere!

Waiting to get chicken, and they have quit making the vegetable side for the chicken, so it’s stale fries or onion rings with that ?, the veggies were by far the best side

It's got a lot of options, and their affiliation with Superstore is great for getting points. However, the prices aren't always the best here, and throughout 2021 and 2022 we have noticed that they tend to run low, particularly in produce, more than we would like - even during the pandemic. I've found that the staff is generally good, but they can be clueless at times if you ask someone about something outside their area. Generally it's a good store, but it isn't the best option for groceries in my neighborhood, for selection or price.

There are two tills open and they are each lined up seven people deep. There is rotting produce and clearly not a manager on sight… and if there is clearly they don’t care. It even states on the google page this is a busy shopping time… two till open! Spend the extra and shop at Safeway. At least they have self check out and always at least 4-6 till open!
