D	Debra Brown on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I will never ever go there again. I was followed by the middle Eastern security I mean followed stood right behind me huge not even half a foot away from my back. It was the worst feeling ever if I had step back would have touched my back I finally turned around asked him to step back explained how uncomfortable I was that I have prsd from being attacked told him I don't steal I can't!! Never have and he said fir my sake I better have money I said why wouldn't I and that he's judging me why?? I even had my receipt in hand showed him from dollar store. I went in to do a specail dinner for my family and that rude man who then had people looking at me like I was til I got to cash receipt from buying our food and felt as if any minute I was going to be grabbedj and humiliated by that man as he smiled and waved by at me I foughtyears and couldn't get outta there quick enough . I will never ever go their again . My word He needs to loose his job sorry but to do this to a mother no record who helps people and use to volunteer back home should be fired and huge. I wouldn't except his apologies either they would be fake. I pray he doesn't do that to anyone else. You will loose all your business sorry but true. He's your employee fix it. Tempted to let others know and looking into reporting him to head office and my lawyer will be informed
P	Paul Cauchi on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They barely had anything to eat and the shift employee while I was checking out banged this cart to a swinging door right beside me while I was paying for goods. What an inconsiderate human. I thought why would someone do that right in front of a paying customer who goes into the store 2 possibly 3 times a week. Evil intentions? Careless? It doesn't really matter, since it was not the first time employees there had been inconsiderate it probably won't be the last time either. I'm starting to wonder is humanity coming to the point of no return for I see this type of behavior often. I would like to conclude that what should have happened on that day, was that the person pushing that cart should have with one hand opened the swinging door, then pulled in the cart, but I guess his commitment to respect wasn't there. I won't go in that store ever again.
S	SenseiOfSnark on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sept/2021: Branston Pickle spread in Original or Marinade are both available at Metro. The Original is my fave and goes great in sandwiches. Mar/2021: Sher Fruit & Veggie Squares. DON'T DO IT! They look great and the texture isn't bad but the taste will make you reach for a double gin & tonic to wash your mouth out. The disinfectant type smell alone should give you a hint as to what you're into and you'll need to wash your hands after touching them. Aug/2019: Care for some fruit with that plastic? They've got you and assorted nuts FULLY covered. Jan/10/18: Distilled water now on sale while Carlton Loblaw's has been out for 4 days. Attention those with portable humidifiers and/or medical equipment. One of my two go to places for groceries. Luv the seafood mix at the Deli counter. Fast fry Angus round steaks, which are perfect for sandwiches and can't find at other grocery stores. Find the staff super friendly and helpful. Respectable amount of fresh produce means quick turnover unlike mass quantity that lay to rot or are thrown away nightly...again, like another grocery store in the neighbourhood. Lunch counter offer hot meals with a good variety of choices. Plus they have BRIO!!! Other than Pizza Nova and George's Diner, I find this tasty Italian treat super hard to find so yes, I'm glad Metro has it in stock. Easily accessible.

This time, they had one of the two brands and/or flavours of energy drink that I prefer and usually only purchase. Most visits they are usually sold out. The new Rockstar Punched (Orange) and the new Monster Rehab (Lemonade & Tea, Peach & Tea, Raspberry & Tea) have been getting harder to find downtown lately. Also on my recent previous visits to this Metro (this applies to the College Park location as well), immediately upon my entering the store, the on duty security guard(s) immediately decide that I'm worthy of tailing during my entire time there. It's actually pretty typical. This happens in many retail locations and environments. It seems there's something about me, intangible to me but I don't know for certain, that attracts assumptions that I'm some sort of thief or petty criminal. The perpetual shadow as I peruse the store's offerings is a tad excessive, in my opinion. I'll give them 4 stars anyway. They'd get 5 if their hired security either had a better method of profiling potential criminals or if they didn't make it so obvious when they were targetting someone, who in their eyes, could be potentially stealing from their employer/client.

The wet vegetable wall looked absolutely stunning; I just had to take a picture of it. I ended up spilling blueberries all over the floor. A very handsome man was very pleasant towards me and picked them all up. He didn't make me feel stupid about it; in fact, he was making me laugh to ease through the situation. Found out later, he was the produce manager, well done metro. ?
K	Kristine Hughes on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious ready serve, hot chicken lunch with sweet and mashed potatoes. Well worth $7.99. Easy to use coinstar machine for converting loose change to bills, with friendly and helpful staff.
A	Astha Garg on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Better quality grocery supermarket with lots of organic vegetables and fruits available. Their bread and meat collection is great along with the other usual stuff. Also one of the few stores that houses some beers.
J	Jo M on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Employees are not wearing their masks properly while handling food - When I asked the produce manager to put their mask up on their face (he was loading the produce wall with the produce inches away from his face while sniffling) he became aggressive and confrontational towards me and started following me through the store. I've been less than satisfied with the produce as is, since the quality here is not up to the standard (found rotted food multiple times after purchasing), but this is unacceptable.
