Paperless bills are sent to my email address, and payments are online, which saves me a whole lot of time. Acknowledgement of payment receipts are instant and customer service can easily be contacted if needed. There is abit of longer waiting time when you contact customer service, which I hope they will improve.

Absolute garbage customer service. Have been attempting to pay my account for weeks. Links they provide lead to a error 404 page not found. Try and call? You get left on hold for 15 minutes then they hang up. The ONE TIME I was able to actually reach a human, they hung up on me. They donโ€™t have a single ounce of customer service. Will be cancelling my account (assuming Iโ€™m able to do this as Iโ€™ve not had any luck with my bill?!) Save yourself the frustration and get your hydro services elsewhere.

Iโ€™m under the impression this company took over enercare. I got a call from a collections agency yesterday notifying me I owed $46 (yup, collections for $46) to this metergy company. I called them and was told they used to be enercare which is the hydro company that was used in a building I moved out of abruptly due to unsafe living conditions 3 years ago!! I called enercare when I moved out and told them I am leaving and to send any bills to x address.. instead of doing that they waited 3 years and sent me to collections over $46.. the best part is when I called yesterday they had my phone number, new address and email ON FILE and not once in 3 years tried to contact me through any of those options. To potentially ruin someoneโ€™s credit over $46 when I had always paid my bill on time and made an effort to ensure I was sent the final bill to my new address is disgusting to me.

Metergy is part of Enercare. They are a submetering company retained by builders often in new developments and when the condo board takes over, they use exploitative tactics such as withholding reimbursements to the condo board to force them to sign onto long term contracts. They also threaten to pull out meters and charge usurious amount to keep meters leaving condo boards stuck with really untenable contracts. We went through this scenario in our condo. At all costs, do NOT sign a contract with Metergy. Many municipalities are now providing their own sub metering option. Talk to your municipality first. We found out too late. It was a far better deal than Metergy. Town of Richmond Hill.
