Metal Galaxy UPDATED store guidelines - Effective March 1st 2022.
* Wearing of mask / face covering is now optional
* Using gloves to browse through cards is no longer required
* We will continue to provide disposable masks and gloves upon request
* We will continue to offer hand sanitizer and clean tables and surfaces often.
* We ask that everyone continue to observe social distancing
and follow the signage in store
* We are NOT open for in-store play. We are planning for when that time comes. We are very excited about the changes that will be implemented at Metal Galaxy once we feel it is safe to welcome everyone again!

We are open for Retail ONLY with the following hours:
Tuesday - Thursday 11 am - 5 pm
Friday - Saturday Noon - 6 pm
Sunday - 1pm - 6 pm
In store play is NOT open at this time.
Our Board Game Library & Cafe will remain closed at this time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to their store during our vacation in Alberta. Warm welcome, clean and spacious store. We bought some Yu-gi-oh structure decks among some smaller items. I wish we had a lot more time to go through their large singles selection. There is always a next time, which is the important part!

Staff is super friendly and helpful. They offer to order in games that you would like.
We purchased a couple games today.. and all of their prices included gst.
They also have theme nights such as “open game night” or “women’s only night”.
Worth checking out!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic card shop/board game Cafe. The owner is great and through all my years playing MTG by far the most helpful I've personally encountered. Friendly atmosphere, good food, reasonable prices and a fantastic loyalty program for repeat business. Best gaming store in Calgary hands down.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So today I made the mistake of going to Shoebox games instead of waiting to go to Metal Galaxy tomorrow. My terrible experience at Shoebox serves only to contrast how much better Metal Galaxy is which made me realize that I haven't reviewed this place. Great customer service, and the owner is always there to answer questions, and prices are excellent. I like to come here for my Magic the Gatherings needs and my wife and I enjoy coming here to play board games prior to covid. I'm eagerly waiting for them to reopen fully so I can start doing pre-release events. They have a great loyalty program which is something that I quite appreciate.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best card shop in the city? 100% Yes, however I think the owner deserves more recognition as the best card shop in Canada. I've never felt more welcomed to a business. The owner is wonderful and always makes us feel at home. We talk about more then just cards and the business. He also always does his best to help us get what we are looking for, gives us more time then we need! Trust me when you go to this card shop, you'll never be disappointed. He makes collecting cards and opening them an even better experience. Awesome prices, wonderful atmosphere, and good people!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Added this store to my weekend rotation! After visiting the store over the 2019 Christmas holidays I have been back almost every other weekend.
The owner and staff all go out of their way to make you feel important and remember you and what your into.
Final Fantasy TCG is difficult to find, but they not only had boosters but also a custom deck.
Had a coffee and a few games of pokemon with my wife. She decided her deck needed upgrades and they were there to help. Also there to "help" was a group of customers playing Keyforge. They unselfishly explained the game while all 3 shared the stronger points of it...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I went in to do some singles shopping and trades on a Saturday. The Owner is very professional and knowledgeable on MTG. They have unique selections like premade commander decks (which the owner makes himself), battle boxes, and a wide selection of singles. This made it feel more than just a store and made it feel like an experience. Whenever I have time I will definitely make the long trip to visit them.
Once the pandemic restrictions clear up I will definitely come and play at an event. ?
