Updated: Went back to try a few more dishes so updating my review and adding photos. The meatball dip was my favourite! We also had the beef noodle stew and chicken wings - both very good. Original post: I had never been to Au Petit Cafe but heard great things. I was excited to try Merci Beaucoup Cafe knowing it’s the same chef from Au Petit. The house special banh mi and meat banh mi were both delicious. My favourite is the house special - the meatballs are amazing. There is a wait but staff were friendly. The food tastes homemade in the best way. Will be coming back!

Dined at Au Petit Cafe for 20+years. I am glad to find my favour house special banh mi again. A bit disappointed on the meatballs, they tasted dry and not very juicy. Before the meatballs were more fatty. Will come back again to try other dishes.

Really nice and friendly ambience, cute space. We got the spring rolls, Bahn mi, beef stew and pho. DEFINATELY get the Bahn mi and beef stew! The other dishes were good too but the Bahn mi and beef stew were our faves

My favourite is meat ball dip & the egg coffee β˜•οΈ. The beef in beef stew is very tender, my friend really likes it. The bΓ‘nh mΓ¬ ? is good too.

Family friendly restaurant. Excellent food! Everything was primarily 5 stars as they were exceptionally fresh and tasted better than other places. They make bake banh mi bagauette fresh in house. The pho wasn't too impressive so that's the only point deduction.

My family were regulars of Au Petit Cafe since I was a young child. Unfortunately, Merci Beaucoup Cafe is nothing like Au Petit. I find Merci Beaucoup to be overpriced with mediocre portion sizes. The food LOOKS like Au Petit Cafe appearance wise but it’s not the same at all. Banh Mi Dac Biet $7.50 - The ham and bacon are so thinly sliced. I have never seen such small protein portions in a banh mi. Lemongrass Chicken on Rice $16 (additional cost for egg $2) - The most expensive lemongrass chicken on rice we’ve ever had. The chicken thigh was thinly sliced. It looked as if they took 1 chicken piece and sliced it in half down the middle. The rice portion was a small scoop of rice thinly spread out on the plate. Not worth $18 whatsoever. Banh Uoc $15 - The fish sauce was so salty. Usually with banh uoc, the nuoc mam is a little lighter as the dish is doused in sauce.

Not a real pho guy. More Ramen fellow. However. This was delicious. Fresh. Great looking. The restaurant was able to accommodate a custom order. Pretty happy I have to say. This place hasn’t been here that long. And there is another pho place half a block away. I like the comfortable setting and the friendly staff. The spring rolls were done to absolute perfection.

My new favourite Pho place. The sandwiches are awesome too. Staff is very friendly. Food came quickly. The server even remember the first time that we came in and he also remember that it was night time. This is a very romantic and peaceful little spot to have lunch or dinner.
