Nightmare dealing with this company. LG has a relationship with Mellish, but Mellish opted out of oneprice program that LG offers its customers. We paid $687 for our dishwasher three years ago. Mellish sent a technician today who took $179 for a service fee and presented us with a quote of $526 to fix our three year old dishwasher. Technician did not realize water was not hooked up to the unit (my husband disconnected the water days ago so he could get the serial number off the side of the unit). Technician diagnosed that we need a new circuit board. LG and the internet said the error code we have been seeing (nE) meams a problem with the vario motor. Should we pay $526 for a new circuit board and hope that error code (that we verified again this afternoon by running the cycle) suggesting a problem with the vario motor is not really the problem? Mellish does not answer the phone. Does not return phone calls. Does not participate in the one price program. Does not respond to emails. Does not send a technician that instills confidence. Not sure how this business model is sustainable.... Oh wait... take $179 for 28 minutes of doing nothing helpful and run....

So I had Meliisha Applinces come check out a warranty claim.. the technician came into my house no mask.. look at the dishwasher and said plumbing is wrong.. not fixing until plumbing is right.. So had sandy Hamilton plumbing come and check the plumbing out.. everything was done right, good to go. So called Meliisha again to come fixed the dishwasher.. they asked if plumbing was done right.. I said yes just like the first plumber did.. So they said not coming because plumbing needs fixed… so called king and state (the company that sent me Meliisha) and they said get someone new and they will pay for it no problem I called MAAR24 out of Markdale.. they showed up.. took the pump out. Found a plastic clip in the pump… put it back together… Guess what I have a working dishwasher… so two months fighting with you guys… just makes me sick how you can treat people.. We are small town area.. please don’t use Meliisha or king and state (Leon’s extended warranty) I have told lots of people about how you guys treated me.. they will not be using you and can’t believe I got treated that way..

Dealing with Mellish has been nothing but a headache to say the least! They do not answer their phone. It is almost impossible to speak to a human. I had an appointment booked and confirmed to repair my dishwasher, and they completely ghosted me, even after I took an entire day off work for this. I track them down only to get lie after lie: "your product was on backorder", "sorry, we did not get your message". It's all excuses with these guys. Last week, they rebooked my service appointment to today, only to get a text last minute saying they can't do the repair because their technician is sick. So that is two days I have had to take off work and now I have to do it again a third time. This warranty work is costing me three days of pay, how is that fair to the customer? They don't care at all. Do they only have one technician to service all their clients? Why am I so low priority? I do not feel like I am of any importance to them. They are sloppy, they lie, and make up excuses. Stay far away from these people.

Back in April we put a warranty claim in for our oven and dishwasher which were bought through Leon’s. May 27th someone from Mellish came out to look at them. He was in our house for all of maybe 5-6 minutes. He looked at the dishwasher VERY briefly before telling me it wasn’t working due to the filter not being clean, he brushed me off when I explained that I had just cleaned it about a week ago & the bottom rack was still not getting clean. He told me just to clean it again. He asked me what was wrong with the oven, unplugged it then plugged it in again, said he would order the parts and left. When he came back to fix the oven he had ordered the wrong part, so was unable to fix this. We asked him to look at the dishwasher again since it still wasn’t working after the filter being cleaned yet again. He refused, stating he didn’t have a work order to do so (even though he did absolutely nothing for the dishwasher the first time). We called Leon’s right after he left to ask them to put in the work order which they did. A long time went by without hearing anything so we called, they told us the correct part for our oven was on back order. When asked when he would come look at our dishwasher again they once again said there was no work order. We called Leon’s again, they said they had put one through but would do another. Again, at least a month goes by without hearing anything. We called Mellish again, they AGAIN said there was no work order, when I said Leon’s had sent one twice now, they booked a time for a guy to come look at the dishwasher. He came out, looked for maybe 3 minutes, left again saying he would order the part. It has now been 2-3 months, I’ve only been able to get ahold of someone there once to checkon an update & told the parts are all on back order. I’ve tried calling & wait on hold for 10-20 mins before giving up (I work at a call centre so I have my own phones to answer). We have not been able to use our oven or our dishwasher since April and no one has attempted to contact us with any sort of updates.

The only bright spot on a very disappointing day was dealing with Mellish Repair Service. They were so prompt in offering us an appointment and although our fridge could not be repaired James, our repair man was so professional and compassionate that it allowed us to feel confident that we had no option but replace the fridge. I also received an email from them offering some rebate on my service call if I do replace the appliance from a select number of Furniture / Appliance centres. I have never reviewed a repair service in the past but feel this group is outstanding. I highly recommend them!

The repair person was amazing. Very informative, and knowledgeable. Answered every question I had with professionalism. The staff at the store was very polite and helpful, answer all questions and helped in every way they could. Thank you staff and repairpersonel. Duncan

Absolutely disappointed!!! Put in a warranty call with Leon’s as our dishwasher is two years old now. The warranty company sent Mellish. Well to say the least it was a ridiculous tech call. He comes in without a mask or having one available. He didnt even look at the machine at all. He looked for the hose which is under the floor as it was installed by a professional plumber and tied into our drain that way. This is in a unfinished crawl space but has a cement floor. He then proceeded to tell us that he wouldn’t do anything because it was not installed properly. I have now proceeded to try and call customer service twice to be hung up on after sitting on hold for over an hour both times. This is absolutely insane. I’m calling my warranty company to tell them not to use your company as I have now read the reviews and am beyond upset now. Please read reviews before even letting anyone come to your especially now with the pandemic going on.

Answered phone Professional knowledgeable office staff They sent us an email confirming the appointment. Technician arrived on time the next morning with mask on Was able to give us info related to repair and replacement of our washer. I was reluctant to try out this business related to the above reviews but I had a completely different experience. I would call them again.
