★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Melanie is truly doing what she was born to do. She is not only brilliant, but her mind works at a blistering rate. When I was seeking a lawyer, I interviewed 7 (expensive but worth it). The one question I asked every lawyer I talked to was "can you provide me with a plan?" to which 6 replies were some version of "If you want, I can do it." I did not need to ask Melanie, in the first 20 minutes of talking to her, she had given me a precise short term plan, and more information than all 6 other lawyers combined!! Her communication is crystal clear and can be terse, so I understand that she will rub some people the wrong way... but would you rather your lawyer cut you off at the pass when you are going down the wrong path, or would you rather hear that from a judge when you are in court?? I saw her argue my case. SHE WAS AMAZING! Her estimation of everything that would happen was exactly what did happen!! Thank you Melanie. Thank you for advocating for me. Thank you for being you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you value your time, and time matters to you. I don’t recommend them. My friend is dealing with them. It took them forever to draft things. If my friend don’t contact them, they will never contact and update the status initiatively. They don’t care how long their clients wait and the potential cost the client is experiencing. I know every industry has prioritized clients. However, it’s been ridiculous long and has alway been delayed. Very frustrating!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ After shopping around for weeks after my separation started, I found Melanie. At first she was warm and welcoming, and seemed to be well-informed. The first few months of negotiating with my wife were stressful but OK. But Melanie began acting aggressively towards my wife, demanding documents, and stressing her and my girls out. She told me it would "get results", and although I didn't like this new attack, I kept my mouth shut. Then she accused my wife with sleeping with her gym couach (didn't happen) and hiding money at her parents place in Sask., by burying it on the farm! Also canclled access to banking wihtout any notice. It caused so much stress on my girls (age 6 & 9) and ruined any positive stuff. And none of it was true. By the time I figured all this out, I told Mel I was unhappy with her professionalism and her school-yard bullying. When I asked her to stop she resisted,, she says "I get results!" and "So what if i tell the judge lies? It's only to get your wife off-guard." I was diappointed. Also, tons of delays. I've since moved to another firm and been much happier. But my girls don't talk to me still, and little I can do. NOT REOMMENDED.
