This is the worst building management company in Toronto!! ? I have been living at 561 Sherbourne St for almost one year now and I can't describe how many problems we have here. The worst and most recent one is the the water. More than 7 times in the last 2 months we did not have hot water!!!!! And a few other days we did not have water at all!!! And it is totally wast of time to call their emergency phone or register a complaint on the website. They always have the same ready answer "we are working on it", but we never see any results!!! PLEASE DO NOT RENT FROM MEDALLION UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE ANGRY AND UPSET!!!

Purchased a home from them in The Ajax locations. Homes are beautiful but the company have false promises. Beware when making your largest investment. Once you buy from Medallion they no longer care about protecting your investment. It is evident to me and my entire neighbourhood that all they care about is profit. Currently the neighbourhood is facing a devaluation of our homes and property as medallion Corp intends to crowd our neighbourhood with an additional 1000 units with no expansion of land. While at the purchase of our homes it was documented and assured to all of us that our home’s value is protected by limiting units and overcrowding. And yet here they are almost doubling the # of units in our existing neighbourhood to make a quick buck. Protect your investment, purchase from a company that care about people’s investments and not their own interest only.

There is a building located at 32 carluke crescent, it's roach infested, and the lady who works in the office is very rude, and appears to be on sometime of prescription medication. Countless request for different type service and not even an acknowledged that they received the request. Buildings went down on rent due to covid, these people raised my rent by 50.00 as soon as I can afford to move I'm leaving this nasty messy place

Vision at Pat Bayly Square managed by Medallion. I am so disappointed with my experience here so far. It seems that all Medallion cares about is renting out the apartments but the service here is non existent. There is no one on staff her in the evenings or weekends. There is constant loud music blaring. Not a place you can rest. The laundry room is so disgusting dirty all the time. The elevators are constantly out of service. Repairs take for ever. Trying to reach anyone regarding any issue is impossible. You need several property managers on site. One person for two buildings just does not work. You also need security on site in both buildings. The police are here all the time. I am worried of crime becoming a very real issue. The building is only a year old and this should not be happening.

The Brampton 171 mainstreet location rental office provided the WORST customer service. The leasing agent, the assistant, and the manager Daisy all provided mixed and wrong information. When I left my application package, the assistant looked it over twice, and I reiterated that I am from out of town so I could not make the trip back unless it was to sign a lease. He assured me it was fine. Just received a call from the office, they said that I provided more information than I needed to and had to come in to fill out the EXACT SAME APPLICATION FORM except to leave some blank. I asked to speak to the manager and the guy on the phone lied and said she was unavailable when I could literally hear her on the phone instructing him what to say??? Terrible terrible rental office, if this location reflects the company's management then I would advise never to work with this corporation.

Was given an appointment to view a 1 bedroom at 565 Sherbourne. Upon arrival they said they had no 1 beds available. Why I was given an appointment then is beyond me. Total waste of time. To make it worse the lady at the counter didn't seem to care and didn't offer an apology at any stage. Rude and incompetent are quite the combination.

The most unprofessional, inconsiderate building operators I have ever lived in. They shut down electricity and water with no end time so you can go days without water. Units infested with cockroaches. They crawl around day and night in the halls and main lobby. Dirty disgusting and repairs done with yhe cheapest labor and materials. Don't be fooled.

Don't be fooled by the vague positive reviews. Rather, ask yourself why someone with 0-2 other reviews would decide to review this company. Look for what they say about the actual units and building life. Not the staff they wave to, not how easy it was to secure a lease, not the proximity to external perks, but what the actual apartment life has to offer. Now look at the timespan between review date and company response. When they say they're doing alarm testing it means that *IN ADDITION* to regular alarm tests (that occur once every few days to once every 3 weeks), that for most of a week, every single unit will have the same loudspeaker, P.A.-type alarm blasting for a minimum of 6 hours, for four days straight. Even after maintenance has done their 5-minute yearly test on your unit's smoke detector and has concluded that both it and the loudspeaker alarm is in working order. It's against your contract to tamper with, alter or muffle the alarm, even though if it's going off for several hours that means it's not actually alerting anyone to anything, just that the sound is working. For six hours. So if you have dependents with special needs, you have special needs yourself, work from home, you practice any instruments, you do shift work and need rest, it's your infant's naptime, you need a place to study or do homework, watch lectures, cook, clean, read, have conference calls, you have small projects, value reasonably quiet enjoyment of your rental, need to etc. this is not a conducive place for you to live. How much notice do you get about the alarms, shutdowns, closures? Less than a week. Management often keeps the community mail alcove disastrously messy, with fliers and private mail strewn about on the ledges and on the floor. You will frequently find residents' letter mail, small parcels and large box packages have been left outside of the locked mail boxes and outside of the large package lockers, out in the open, on the benches where anyone could take it -- and there is no key or fob needed in order to enter the mail area. If you see mail in the open, look at the unit on the label and look for the appropriate mailbox, the box is usually empty. So management allows mail to be frequently left in the open while not installing a designated slot for mail placed in the wrong mailbox. You will also frequently see residents' mail left on the benches in the unsupervised lobby, within direct sight of the front main doors (clear glass). In fact, you will find that residents post notices inquiring about missing/clearly stolen mail quite frequently. While management has taped notices about not letting packages get delivered to the lobby, they also do not maintain the actual, designated mail area in a professional way. Please consider this before you sign. Editing to respond to the owner response: Thank you for responding. This tells me that you might care about solutions, so I'll continue to help: You seem unaware of the volume level of your loudspeaker alarms. I encourage you to spend 8 hours in a unit during one such prolonged test day session from start to finish, in the same room as a speaker alarm. You cannot tamper with or muffle the alarm, so for your safety, bring earplugs. Bring some work or reading with you. By the end I don't expect that you'll continue to classify what I've written above as "inconvenience". As owners, you can apply existing mechanisms that meet standards of safety while not torturing your tenants and their children. You can apply silent alarms for testing days, you can limit testing to floor by floor or unit by unit. If you truly have committed to resident safety as you wrote below, I'll help you out: Alarms function by stressing people into action. Frequent alarms become The Boy Who Cried Wolf, and your tenants have come to ignore real alarms as a result. You are welcome for my review.
