★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This organization could be a great source without Kim and Madeline I lost my funding because of them, because they didn't care about my well being ,and they have no idea how single mothers struggles to rise kids .instead they took away my subsidy and gave it to people they wanted I think I need to be a drug addict to be liked in this organization if they cant control you forget they cant support you they care about people who can not even shower and lie to the government that they support us this is a total abuse for us single mothers especially you can't lead people when you have no experience in children or being a mom the government should look into these so called org who are abusing the system .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I visit 2 friends that live there.The new building on Howe street has really great kitchens and bathrooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. I would live there if an 09 suite was available

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Society itself, and it's mission statement, are inspiring and commendable. HOWEVER, The management and their policies do not reflect the society's high ideals and have actually caused harm and misfortune to many of their HIV+ tenants. The management shows contempt for the Residential Tenancy Act. Policies like refusing guests entry for no reason, disallowing access to stairwells and common areas, and general intimidation tactics keeping tenants in fear that they might lose their housing are what new tenants should expect at McLaren's. It is treatment that one would expect from landlords of Vancouver's downtown east-side SRO's: surely not the intent of the original society, but sadly, today this is what tenants at 1249 Howe endure.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A caring place, that needs more support for it's worthy mission. Housing , housing housing. Thanks McLaren for all you do and have done to improve your residents lives. Subsidized housing in Davie and Granville area. Severe health challenged group of clients.Help with food security, socializing, life supports, security, hygiene, privacy, keeping healthy boundaries.
