★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Typical large firm. Started off with some junior lawyer who clearly lacked confidence and knowledge in what they were doing and didn't offer any helpful legal advice. They just took my documents and sat on them, didnt even provide a copy of their retainer when i request it to review. No call back after meeting. It took me calling three times for their lawyer to finally say "we just dont have the time" or another way of saying "there is just not enough money in this for us". NOT RECOMMENDED

Saved myself and my daughter from having to go through the provincial court system, fighting with her father. Thank you Coll and McKimm & Lott for making a difficult time easier. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My uncle left his estate in what he thought was the capable hands of this firm. It would take us ages to get responses, often 2 or 3 emails were needed to prompt a response. I was promised for over a year that a china set I wanted was being shipped to me imminently. This was how a vintage family china set was shipped to me.- see pic attached. Completely shattered. No packing material - Canada to US. My aunts jewelry was throw in to a box that was open with room enough to put your hand in and out when it arrived. We never did find my uncles signet ring. In the end I had to go to the Law Society of BC to get help. Lott admitted that he did not check the box, had no list of what was put into the box and did not take insurance. I would not trust this firm with anything. they were careless, inconsiderate, thoughtless and generally unorganized. It took me a whole Christmas to put the pieces together to work out what was lost.
