Next to useless company and a waste of time. Don't bother to call them. I called to get a quote and spoke with one of the owners (he made a point that I was speaking with one). Gave me a ballpark price over the phone and I told him I was fine with it. Took all of my information and stated that he would be out within a week and would email me the quote. The week came and went. Another week came and went. I phoned back, explained the issue and another person said that they had no record of our conversation. They said that they had a lot of calls at this time of year. I asked if that meant I was not important and that they would not likely provide me with service. The person said no. Took all of my info, and away we went again. Now a couple of weeks later and nothing again. I am done with McGee Fencing. No integrity. No customer service.

Terrible customer service!! Nancy, who answers phones there, I guess doesn't realize that not everyone on the planet is in the fencing business. Treats you as if you should know everything about the fencing business. I had to call about 1/2 a dozen times just to simply get an estimate to have a gate installed. Never once did I receive a call from them concerning my proposed job, which maybe a $1700 job is small potatoes for them, and they don't really care. After I told Nancy I'm a little frustrated, she bluntly told me, " look, if you don't want us to install your gate, we don't have too!!". I said, nice customer service. Fine, they obviously don't need my business and definitely won't be getting it!! LOOK ELSEWHERE.

On time, great service. Very pleased with our fence as is many neighbours we have sent to them. It appears a large majority of the negative reviews were all 4-7 days ago, unfortunately an angry person has recruited “friends” to leave bad reviews. We have never had an issue with them, they have always been professional.

We and 5 other neighbors had our vinyl fence install 16 years ago by this company. The work was completed professionally and to everyone’s complete satisfaction. What has been so impressive is their post customer service. We had our gate damaged twice by other trade workers and as soon as we called Magee, they promptly scheduled the repair to our fully satisfaction. I would have no hesitation in strongly recommending this company for your fencing needs.

Called in the morning at 9:30am just looking to buy material to build a small 12ft chain fence. They put a whole kit together for me so I can install myself; every piece needed from gate, posts , hardware, etc. By 11:30am the whole kit was ready and waiting outside for me to pick up. Super friendly, accommodating and great service.

Wonderful experience from start to finish!! Efficient and professional!! Paul McGee makes recommendations based on his years of experience and knowledge, we followed his sage advice and our fence looks fabulous!! He is a gem to deal with!!

Update answer to owners reply: Both my husband and myself have contacted McGee fencing about the placement of the fence asking for it to be moved to where it was originally contracted to be. We have left several voicemails and sent emails asking to speak to someone to rectify the situation. Not once has anyone called us back or emailed to discuss this. Also, in your reply, it sounds like you where well aware of the difficulty he had with his neighbour and would have had some understanding of the importance of the fence being placed on my father’s property. We are still open to having a conversation about rectifying the situation if your company is open to that. As to your company taking a loss and my father getting a deal. My father has already had to pay legal costs due to the neighbours behaviour and because the fence is on the property line. In all likelihood, he will have more costs in the future as well. My father didn’t get any deal, McGee’s mistake is costing more. McGee only lost money as they made a deal with the neighbour, knowing he was problematic, and the neighbour refused to pay. The loss has nothing to do with us. Original review: I purchased a fence from McGee and was pleased with the process and resulting fence. Due to my experience I recommend this company to my father thinking they will be great for a senior. My father had some difficulty with his neighbour and asked McGee to put the fence completely on his property. During the construction, the neighbour spoke to McGee and made a deal with them to increase the height of the fence on that side from 5 feet to 6 feet and had them put the fence on the property line and McGee made these changes without my father’s approval. McGee billed both my father and the neighbour for that side and the neighbour refused to pay McGee and blamed my father for getting the bill even though he made the deal with them. What resulted was months of harassment from the neighbour and now the neighbour is attaching wood to his side attempting to destroy the fence. Because it’s on the property line there isn’t anything we can do. I contacted McGee as soon as we realized the fence was not all on my father’s property and McGee has never returned our calls/emails or tried to rectify their mistake. The stress of the situation has caused my father health problems. In our calls to the city, we could stop the neighbour if my father’s fence was built in the spot where McGee fencing was originally contracted to build it. While their product so far seems good, I would not recommend this company as they are unwilling to fix their mistakes or even contact you about the issues.
