We have picnicked and enjoyed the ambiance here over the years. Beside the boat launch there is always live entertainment and lots of delicious looking food being prepared. It can get a bit breezy. Plenty of parking (roll up your windows as it’s a bit dusty). This time we followed the river east and were pleasantly surprised by all the off leash happy dog activities. There are some very nice trails and smaller paths through the treed area. It’s about 3 km from the parking to the marsh at the end of the beach and back. Lots of cosy spots to relax along the way.

This is a 26 acre park in the northwest corner of Richmond that is set along the mighty Fraser River. There is also a boat launch located here. The beach walk offers a beautiful view across the river looking towards south Vancouvver. The dirt road slightly inland offers a walk amongst the flora and gives you a view of the open fields close to the Vancouver International airport. Whichever path you choose, this is an easy level walk. Walking, running, swimming and digging in the sand is the fun that can be had by dogs both big and small. Words of caution: This is a very powerful river, so I wouldn't throw sticks too far into the water for your dog to fetch as it could get caught in the undertow or get swept off in the current. There have been a few incidents in the news that I know of when this has happened. Luckily there were boaters nearby to aid in successful rescues. I have also seen coyotoes further down the dirt road. Keep your dogs closeby and don't let them wander off into the brush and bushes, especially if they are small. Enjoy, stay alert and be safe.

An awesome place for offleash dog park/beach. My puppy is quite small, very social, and full of energy. I have not yet encountered any problems with any other dogs and he has a blast every time he goes there. There's a lot of ground to run around the grass field and the beach to dig and swim. There are a few little trails going across the forest. It closes when it gets dark because of coyotes which at times come out in the late afternoon from the forest so keep an eye out. It's a beautiful place to walk your dog offleash while getting him socialized.

Such a fun place yet so peaceful. One of the best off leash parks in the lower mainland for your dogs. The sandy beach, river walk and trails will make you come back here again and again. It’s on the way to Iona beach just before the Canada Post YVR Terminal.

Riverside off-leash dog walk with trails and other walks nearby. Big field for frisbee and catch. Numerous benches and logs to sit and enjoy the views of the Fraser River, North Shore mountains, and boat traffic. Sandy stretches, grassy fields, lots of parking - though it seems to fill up fast as this is a popular destination for dog owners. Enjoy!

This place is amazing !! Such awesome views of the Fraser River and a great place to fish locally. There is a boat launch as well and a pay-by-the-day parking lot for the trailers and towing vehicles. Lots of regular parking also with nicely kept washrooms. There are picnic tables right on the causeway between the Boat-launch and the River. Some in shade and some in the sunshine. There is also a walking trail that runs along the River and its perfect for dogs to go for a swim and cool off.

Nice beach park on the north side of the Vancouver International Airport. Lots of parking. Not much trees. No shades. Good place to do BBQ picnic. Bring chairs and umbrellas. There are washrooms and a small water fountain (not sure if it works).
