About Mayfield Figure Skating Club
Since 1992, Mayfield Figure Skating Club has been a Skate Canada sanctioned club. We are committed to helping our athletes reach above and beyond their potential. We encourage them to set goals and help them to achieve them. MFSC is a small club located in the west end of Edmonton and skates at The Callingwood Twin Arenas. Our skaters range from preschoolers to adults, beginner to elite levels. Mayfield Figure Skating Club is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors made up of parents who have children in our skating programs. We provide skating programs September to May.
Over the years we have offered many different programs such as STARSkate, CanPowerSkate, CompetitiveSkate, CanSkate and Inclusive programs.
We currently have limited ice time and have had to streamline what programs we can offer. Since we are a figure skating club we have chosen to focus on the STARSkate programs. Our figure skaters all start out in the Pre-Can and CanSkate Programs so we have kept these as well. We also want adults to join in on the fun so have etched out some time for them to learn or continue developing their skating skills.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The instructors are great, very patient and helpful. They offer adult classes as well as kids, so there is no excuse to not learn to skate. I did as a grown man and it has become one of my favorite hobbies. They are geared towards both figure and power/ hockey style skating. Check them out, I highly recommend it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My daughter has skated with Mayfield for 6 years, starting with the Can Skate Program transitioning into the Star Skate Figure Skating Program. I don't normally leave reviews but I felt compelled to go out of my way to write this review because I am so happy with the club! The coaches and board members have the biggest hearts, are so organized and have great communication. The sessions are a great balance of small groups, one on ones with coaches and even doing fun things as a large group such as synchronized skating. My daughter looks forward to ever skating session as she has made friends with a lot of the skaters. The girls she skates with are so sweet and inclusive (my daughter is one of the youngest girls in her group) There is no drama, they cheer each other on and if someone falls they see if that person is ok. I don't have one negative thing to say. If you are looking for a great Figure Skating Club take your kids here!!
