Very clean and friendly staff on the visit to see a dear family member,today. I was there at 7:40p.m .on 3 RD FLOOR. INA SL4 BED .

Changed my moms life. My moms health and outlook has improved 100 percent since moving in. The staff, facilities, food are top notch. Could not recommed this home any higher.

My wife and I have resided at Masterpiece since the beginning of March. We have the facility inviting, the staff more than person ab le, amnd the food menu a del,ight each day. We would highly recommend Masterpiece, and we alre4ady have, to any potential senior looking for a place to enjoy the last years of their life. First rate facility and it sets the standard for other potential Long Term or Independent Living.

My 89 year old father moved into Masterpiece Southland Meadows when it first opened and moved out 2 weeks ago. When he first moved in he was in independent living, and as time passed, his dementia, as well as his over all health had him move, first to SL3, then SL4D, still with the freedom to come and go as he pleased, and then to full secure unit. We originally chose Masterpiece because it offered independent living right thru to long term care. Now, my experience with Masterpiece is as follows: First the pros: Its an absolute beautiful facility and the majority of the staff are very friendly and accommodating. When you first walk in the front door, it’s like entering a high end Mexican Resort. Spectacular. The food is good. Now the cons: First off, when my father was assessed needing long term care, there were no rooms available, which was not the indication from the Masterpiece staff just weeks prior. Quite disappointing to have to put an 89 year old thru the stress of a move, but I can understand if the long term beds are full, we had no choice but to move Dad. Homecare did the assessment that put him into long term care, and they were prepared to look into short term funding to keep dad at Masterpiece until a long term bed became available, but Masterpiece would not entertain that so we moved him. Masterpiece opened up their “Butterfly Program” prior to my dad moving into SL4. Great idea, but in the case of my father it didn’t do anything for him. I’ll admit that he can be hard to deal with, but I understood the staff in the dementia unit are supposed to be trained to deal with all types? From what I witnessed, some of the staff could use more training. It was very apparent they had difficulty managing my dad. To sum things up, I’ll say that the Masterpiece is a good place for “independent living, but not for assisted living. I love how inviting and beautiful the atmosphere is. The staff are always going above and beyond for their residents and staff other. It is unique as they have 2 on location therapy dogs. As soon as you walk in it feels like you are at a 5 star resort. The food by chef is so good you won’t want to cook for yourself ever again

My daughter introduced me to Masterpiece. We took a tour when building was still under early construction when you had to tour with a hard hat and boots. Instantly impressed with what I saw. Realized I immediately I wanted to live here. My health was declining and I wanted to make a change while I was still sound of mind. When I first moved in I required some health care but after living here for a short period of time I did not need the health care anymore and realized my health was improving. My health has improved because of the wonderful care and fabulous healthy food I receive. I feel like I live in a resort. I am able to contribute and make recommendations for the future of Masterpiece and feel that my ideas are valued and I am involved in the decision making. Highly recommend for seniors to live here. Through living here I am growing younger! Will spend the rest of my remaining years at a place I love in my new home at Masterpiece. Don't hesitate when faced with the decision by family to move into a retirement resort like Masterpiece because you will never regret the move and you and your family will have peace of mind for your remaining years.

Horrible place. Worst place to put anyone. Can't even get a mug of hot water for a hot chocolate when a person don't drink coffee or tea. I have family there and noone is gonna tell me what I can and cannot say in a review. If I could give zero stars I would.
