A lot of work was put into restoring these important parts of historical Manitoba. They are magnificent!

Wonderful way to spend the day. Kids and adults who love self guided tours will love this beautiful museum full of Manitoba and nautical history. After that you can spend the rest of the afternoon in the park next door.

A unique museum experience. Explore boots that let you get up close with marine history. The admission fee is very reasonable and worth it for a different kind of experience.

This is an amazing piece of Manitoba and Canadian history. The artifacts and ships all in great condition and self guiding tour is wonderful. For so much history along the river and formation of our province you see very little advertising and promotion of this site. Our son had a great time seeing everything and I enjoyed reading the history. Strange schools don't do tours here. Affordable for a family and nice drive to do something on the weekend. Glad we did it. My thanks to all the hard working volunteers who do an incredible job restoring the ships.

Well who knew of this place tucked in the North East of Selkirk Manitoba. I heard the boats were land docked but where. Pretty cool to walk along them & read of the past history of these amazing boats on the Red River & Lake Winnipeg. Further into Selkirk Park is camping, swimming & rodeo site. It’s a well kept up park and I will most definitely be going back. August 21, 2020: I had the opportunity to go back to the marine museum. This time with my daughter, her boyfriend & my mum. It was a beautiful afternoon exploring the boats and inside. So much to see, read with lasting memories. The rooms were not overly large. Was nice to go back in time.

Great place to visit. Next to the river so you can go for a brisk walk and have a look at the museum.

Even though it was closed for the season we still enjoyed ourselves. The kids had fun running around and there is a lot of cool history on the plaques below the boats.

Really nice small museum. My kids enjoyed walking on the 6 ships. Each boat is different and it is quite interesting. In some boats you have information signs that tell the story about how the boats were used and where. Masks are mandatory inside and outside though we found a couple of people who decided to break the rules.
