We visited the Ukrainian Cultural Heritage Village and WOW what a great place! If you haven't been it's a must TODO! We started by having lunch at the Ukrainian restaurant and ate a Ukrainian meal of perogies, cabbage rolls, sausages and meatballs. Yum yum!! We then walked around using the map we received from the start of our journey through the little town of Ukraine. We spoke to people at each station and learned so many interesting things about the Ukraine. Due to COVID not everthing was opened but we will definitely be going back to walk through again!! Excellent afternoon!

This is a super cool "museum". It's all open air and you get to walk from building to building so not a traditional museum. You can't go in the buildings currently due to covid, but it is still really cool. Lots to see and learn. Highly recommend stopping and checking it out.

This is a very interesting outdoor museum on the history of Ukrainian settlers in Alberta. It provides a great opportunity to see many aspects of their life. The museum holds a vast collection of houses, stores, churchs and barns from different time periods. In addition, the museum interpreters are very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommended.

Good collection of historical buildings. They are still restoring some. From mud and thatched roofs to newer ones. Had a pig pen and chicken coop. The weekend we went, there were guides available to tell the history of some buildings. No shady places as barely any trees. Water is only available at the visitor centre before heading into the grounds.

It’s a nice facility and we enjoyed our self guided time there. Due to Covid, like the others, we were unable to go into most buildings. The staff we interacted with were very friendly and knowledgeable. That said, we did feel, as a family of 5, our trip was quite pricy for what we got out of it. Had there been more staff there that day maybe we’d feel different about it all. But our experience left us feeling like we were overcharged. We will go back another time to try it out after covid, and maybe this time we’ll luck out with more staff on site.

We visited during Covid pandemic, August 2021. The landscape was beautiful as always, the historic buildings so interesting the staff and interpreters were so friendly and welcoming, it was a great visit! Of course we were not able to fully enjoy everything with some limited restrictions in place due to covid-19. We are looking forward to another visit next year, hopefully the buildings will be fully open to explore and they will have some special events as well.

My husband and I loved learning about our families' history at the Ukrainian Village! The site is well laid out for a historical time-travel walk through history. We enjoyed the hosts throughout the site dressed in traditional apparel and speaking Ukrainian. Bonus: there are two super-friendly pigs on site who love getting attention and scratches on their backs. Plan for at least 2 hours of walking (bring bug spray and water in the summer).

Had the most wonderful experience here and all the people were so helpful. My dad talked to us all the way through. My heart is going out to Ukraine in a time when we should be celebrating our lives in Peace? ????
