★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My son just completed Grade 12 - pre-calculus and calculus at Handsworth. The program was excellent. The staff were extremely friendly, understood the course material well, were excellent teachers and very accommodating to our schedule. Would not hesitate to recommend them. Went above and beyond in providing excellent service.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In grade 9, I fell behind in math, due to a not-so-good math teacher. My work ethic fell through the floor, and I had lost all interest in the subject. Accordingly, my grades were terrible that year. After that, my parents decided something had to be done, and somehow or another they found this place. And this placed helped. A lot. I studied here from near the end of grade 9 all the way until my graduation, and it has completely changed me from grade 9. thanks to my tutor, I was able to get my grades back up, and they honestly changed my perspective on a lot of subjects. I began to actually like math. This year I was accepted to UBC, and am planning to go into computer science, a highly mathematical workload, and I completely credit the Math and Science Centre for getting me to this point in my life. Thanks for all the help over these 3 years! I'll miss you guys! I enjoyed every second of it!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Karen was unwilling to make accommodations for my daughter's auditory needs. During the math testing, Karen was looking at her computer, answered two phone calls and then placed my daughter in a room with 8 other children in it who were talking with their tutors. My daughter was not even able to finish the assessment because she could not focus due to noise but Karen still factored in her poor results and my daughter still did fine. It didn't make sense. Seems as if Karen was more eager to have our money than actually caring about my daughter's math abilities. When I meet with Karen about the results and left upset about her indifference to my daughter's legitimate concerns, she left a nasty voicemail insulting me and defending her behaviour.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am the parent of two boys grade 9 and 11. I have found the math and science centre so helpful in understanding my boys needs. I think this is a great services for tutoring particularly for grade 10-12 as it allows the student to choose what they want to work on and to achieve a better mark at the next test. This is such a motivating factor for any 15-16 yrs old. I was also impressed by the tutors commitment. They were so supportive of my younger son's needs even attended a school meeting to advocate for him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have had my 15 year old and 12 year old attend this Centre for over 2 years. Karen does a very thorough assessment at the beginning and also during the year and accordingly creates a custom program for each child according to his/her needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. Karen is always listening to feedbacks and accommodating changes when possible.
Both my kids have improved in their areas of study and the best part of the day is when you pick them up and they say "finally, I understand!". The Marine Drive Math & Science Centre has been one of the best investments we have made for our kids.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ “Math and science centre is a fantastic “boutique style” tutoring centre that treats kids in a very personal and individualized way.
From the very start, the communication with us was great, the assessments were very thorough and accurate, and the plans for both kids were very specific to their own different needs.
Both of our kids enjoyed the tutors there, who were very kind and understanding of their needs.
They both progressed as we hoped, and it was fantastic value!
Since this is Not a franchise style operation, it is a very special unique place that takes your kids learning very seriously....
