Marcos Famous University - Edmonton
This is my go to late night food place ? I found it years ago on a drunken adventure and never looked back. Lol I use to hate donairs until I found Marcos Famous. I loved it even more when they got to salad option for it because I do attempt to avoid high carbs. The only time my order ever got messed up on skip, the owner called me and apologized and he contacted skip the dish to get me a refund (and I wasn’t even upset by it). The burgers and hotdogs are also fantastic and I love the waffle fries! Life long Marcos Famous patron, right here ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I recently bought a falafel wrap to go from Marcos and it was really displeasing. After I opened the packet it was drenched in oil from falafel. On the top the falafel was raw from inside. It was almost inedible. I heard good thing about Marcos but my experience was totally disappointing.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant has gotten a prior violation from Alberta Health Services for having pests, specifically cockroaches, in the kitchen. Search it up yourself if you don't believe me.
The Fillipina women who have worked here at the restaurant during this summer are rude, dismissive and not trained properly on how to safely handle food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible donairs and burgers at this place. First of all the food here is overpriced at around 6 dollars for a small burger. Secondly the food here is overly fat, salty and just unhealthy. There are much better places to eat on campus than this restaurant.
My friends who have eaten here have gotten sick from the food. The old lady that works here does not seem to know how to cook the food properly to safe conditions.
